The brunch at Hopper & Bean Local was a bit of a mixed bag. The local itself was delightful, with plenty of space inside and outdoor seating available too. However, during our visit, there was no music playing and a man was noisily fixing something with a drill, which was a bit off-putting in a full establishment.

The service was pleasant but a tad rushed, suggesting that the food might have been pre-made. Unfortunately, both of our brunch dishes lacked flavor and seemed to be made with cheap ingredients. While the meal concepts were appealing, the execution fell short.

One highlight of our visit was the delicious smoothies. Overall, the experience at Hopper & Bean Local was somewhat disappointing due to the mediocre food quality.

When we requested the bill, the staff responded with a "one moment" and left us waiting for quite a while. Eventually, we had to pay at the cashier without any apology. The staff seemed busy and unconcerned about the overall experience of our visit. Food is quite expensive for what you have at all in our opinion .

A few practical notes: parking is available except for permits between 10:30 and 11:30 am, there are toilet facilities, and the venue is...

Met up with a friend for morning coffee. The sun was shining brightly so we asked the waiting staff if the umbrella could be put up for shade. We really wanted to remain outdoors to enjoy the fresh air. We were told no as it was supposed to get windy later but that we could go indoors. It takes moments to raise/lower an umbrella so not sure why possible wind later was an issue. Nevertheless we enjoyed our coffees, despite the lack of shade. However when we asked to pay with our cards we were told we couldn't split the bill but should sort it out between us. The waiter said non-splitting of bills was a new policy. Rather awkward as neither of us had cash with us to pay back the other. The total bill was less than £15.00 so obviously not a problem for one to pay for the other but still an inconvenience. Overall, disappointing...

Star of the show- sausages. They ask what kind of egg you like but fail to tell you cream or milk in the scrambled egg. Couldn’t eat it and mother is lactose intolerant but ate hers. Also don’t like when something is wrong, it’s not the customers fault but then the waitress tried to rejig it to bend to her lies. Listen- it says sundried pesto and other ingredients on one panini and just pesto (which is green) on the panini I ordered. They put the wrong pesto on my order and she tried to talk around it, what’s the point. Unless you think I’m stupid. I was right! But that’s upsetting for some people. Owner tried to make it better offered me another choice of meal but I could just eat 1/3 of it, as it was eggs sausage and toast. Just ate the sausage and toast. One of the best tasting sausages I’ve had on...

This is a nice popular spot in the Winchmore Hill area. Food is reasonably priced and the customer service is decent too. I opted for a Chai Latte and a 3 egg omelette. My omelette was nicely presented and was bright yellow, this tells me the eggs were extremely fresh which is great. The little bowl of slaw which came with it was very nice as well. The salad was decent and came with a little dressing. I'm not 100% sure how fresh the salad was or if indeed it was washed before being plated but I ate it nonetheless. My chai latte was nice, however I love my hot drinks to be piping hot and I was literally able to down this drink in one go. Would I go again? Yes I would, I've been a few times before and this won't be the last time.

This is their regular size americano for 2.40£. Only thing is the location of the shop and people living in this area dont really care about the prices. Taste of the coffee is below avearage. This might be cause it was quite busy when i visited there but still you need serve every single client with same quality. Again im sure this cant be regular its definatelly small size cup. (This was my second visit in last 2 years, first one was fair enough thats why i reviewed otherwise i shouldnt rate for 1 star, hope you re going to take my comment in a good sense)
