In all my many long years of enjoying bubble tea, this is the first place Iāve ever come across that doesnāt actually include standard tapioca balls in the price. They cost extra. āFair enoughā you might say, except that this isnāt made at all clear. I came in with my cousin whoād never tried bubble tea before and excitedly stood there explaining it all to him, including how it COMES with little jelly-like tapioca balls. This all happened RIGHT IN FRONT of one of the moodiest and most unfriendly members of staff that Iāve also ever come across. At any point you might think she would have politely piped up and said āOh hey lads, couldnāt help but overhear you there talking about your expectations of the bubble teas youāve literally just ordered with me. Our teas donāt actually come with tapioca pearls included, just so you know. We call them ātoppingsā here in our nutty little shop and they cost extra. Would you like some?ā But did she do anything of the sort? Did she even smile or reply to my hello when we walked into the place? Did she flip. When our bubble teas arrived, I was dismayed to see a distinct lack of pearls in either of our teas and reasonably commented on this. Finally the staff member opened her mouth: āI asked you if you wanted ātoppingsā...ā spat with as much disdain as she could muster. No apology. No attempt at anything resembling understanding our point of view. And with no time to stay and debate the issue any further as we had a bus to catch, no real resolution. While I think charging people extra for standard pearls in bubble tea is super lame (google āboba teaā and tell me what images come up) I respect this establishmentās choice to do just that. But the service we received was absolutely shambolic and left a taste in our mouths that the teas themselves, which were decent enough,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI order from GoNuts all the time (I think I order from them once or twice a week), honestly, they NEVER fail to amaze me! I've been able to try all of their milk teas (and I'm slowly making my way towards trying all of their fruit teas!) and it is impossible to pick favourites; each time I try a new flavour my mind tells me "THIS is my new favourite!" The thing that attracted me to GoNuts was their milk alternative options, as a vegan it can be disappointing to only be able to have fruit teas at bubble tea locations, but with the option of soy or oat milk I'm able to have milk tea again! As much as I truly do love their teas, I also want to say that their staff are AMAZING. They are genuinely so sweet and you can tell that the staff put love into each drink they make - the team at GoNuts truly do deserve more recognition. If you take anything away from this review, let it be this; please do tip the staff at GoNuts and please buy extra drinks! The staff and company deserve every penny because they truly care about their customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered from this place 13/03/2022, and I can safely say that I had an awful experience.
I ordered a Lotus Biscoff ā brown sugar ā bubble tea.
The issues started with the service. I asked the staff for recommendations and they refused to help, pointing at a useless display. The drink costed £4.80 for a small size cup which is a very large amount. I was the only customer in the shop and despite this, my drink took over 10 minutes to make. I spotted that there was no brown sugar in my drink so I questioned the very rude mananger, she ignored me and continued to ignore my order.
This drink tasted horrible and unauthentic. It essentially tasted like a glass of milk with mouldy biscuit pieces inside. For £4.80 this is unbelievable.
The customer service is awful, the drinks arenāt authentic and the the flavour is awful.
DONāT ORDER...
