Gospel Oak Cafe — Restaurant in London

My previous review was 5 stars, but that was from 2 or 3 years ago when the place had different staff.

Sadly, the coffee has gone waaaaay downhill. A flat white is no longer a smaller coffee served strong, but a smaller, stronger coffee topped up with hot water and served weak and watered down.

I honestly debated whether I would visit this morning for breakfast, but decided to leave it as the last 2 times I've visited the coffee has been terrible.

The food is still ok, but at 7am I want good coffee. Learn how to do that, and I'll be back....

Found hair in my food and when I complained to the waiter she rather stated they don’t have that type of hair which is a racist comment to start off with. I told her I wasn’t coming back to the eatery when I went to pay for the food I didn’t get to finish and she again told me it’s not their fault I found hair in my food. Nice to see this "greasy spoon" cafe is still here. Proper workman's cafe with all the usual food fare. Good prices and portions. If you're working in the area, this will be the only cafe like it for a good few miles. Food, prices, portions, and service were good . Excuse the poor picture of a traditional breakfast I ordered.
