A Very Merry Meze - Christmas at Girlandia ’Tis the season for good vibes and even better food, and Girlandia didn’t disappoint! Our party of 8 rolled in ready to feast, and the staff brought the holiday cheer—funny, attentive, and clearly experts in festive banter. At £38pp, the Christmas Set Menu delivered serious bang for our buck. Here’s the rundown: Meze to Share: A table full of flavor bombs. The beetroot hummus was silky smooth, but the baba ghanoj stole the show—smoky, garlicky, and topped with pomegranate seeds that felt like little holiday jewels. The falafel? Crunchy perfection. The cheese sambosseks were a gooey delight, and the kibbe was a solid crowd-pleaser (bonus points for the tahini sauce). Main Event: With options like grilled sea bass on ratatouille and mixed grill skewers, everyone was happy. I went for the grilled chicken fillet—tender and smothered in mushroom gravy goodness. Big win for the side of spiced rice, too. Desserts: Christmas isn’t complete without sweets, and the baklawa and basbousa made sure we left on a sugar high. That coconut mini cake was a surprise hit—soft, moist, and perfect with coffee. Girlandia brought the festive fun and fantastic food to Mayfair. If you’re looking for holiday vibes with a side of banter, this is the spot!

Sunday Afternoon lunch First of all great ambience, very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, everything beautifully decorated, the tables were perfectly laid out. The staff were very pleasant, we were given choice to sit and we chose a nice cosy area. Menu was very easy to understand clearly explaining each dish. The lavatory was clean smelt great Dany took our order and food was severed and fast as we ordered freshly grilled chicken with hot Lebanese bread everything tasted was great. The salad and especially the hummus. Dany made sure we were comfortable and checked to see if were happy with food and required anything else. We were then severed with fresh fruit and home made coconut cake and baklava. I don’t have a sweet tooth but Dany insisted that I should try it and the cake was delicious. Thank you Dany The trip to the restaurant was not planned and we were passing by, I would say it’s a nice cosy place and should definitely dine there.

The cheese rolls were a big letdown. They had no flavor at all, and the first bite tasted like old oil. Zero out of ten for those. The falafel, on the other hand, was really good, super fresh and tasty.. The kebbeh was okay. Not amazing, not terrible. Just… average. I wish it was better, but it wasn’t the worst. The fattoush was below average for me. It was fresh, so that’s something, but I’d still give it like a 4/10. It came already mixed with the dressing and had a ton of fried bread, which got soggy fast. I really wish they had put the bread and dressing on the side. Also, the dressing had no real flavor, would’ve been nice to have some pomegranate molasses or lemon or something to give it a kick. They sent a complimentary dessert which was surprisingly yumm! Overall, I’d give the whole experience a 5 out of 10. Hope they improve, and I wish them all the best.

The Grilandia looks beautiful outside we noticed this restaurant on our walk past and decided to give it a try as I and my partner adore Lebanese food. Inside the restaurant is beautiful also, the lighting and ambience is well set. I have to say this was the only positive note about this restaurant, and I hate to leave a negative review, however people need to know and feel comfortable in where they choose to dine. I and my partner were seated by the waitress “Sanna”, she asked us if we would like still or sparkling water and we said tap water would be fine, she then started to to swear in Spanish over us ordering tap water when she walked off even though she was less than a meter away from our table when placing our food order on the system. She knew fully well our table is behind her, and she indirectly said to us, about us, to the bar lady who was completely ignoring her, “I don’t get it, these people, if you can’t afford food and water stay at home” and we heard everything. We tried to get the other waiter to serve us and not her as she’s so unbelievably rude and ill mannered, however every time she saw someone else approaching our table, she came straight over asking in a passive aggressive tone “is everything ok” it REALLY felt like harassment and it was a horrible experience for us! we had already put our food order in and it felt too late for us to walk out. I couldn’t possibly think the evening could get any worse or more uncomfortable, until she started swearing at the bar lady it was just awful, for us to have experienced a awful customer service and then to have witnessed her abusing people she works with in front of our eyes. After our table was cleared she then came over and said she is giving this to us for free it was some cake and fruit, that it was complimentary.. we felt attacked and then bribed into writing a good...

From the moment you step into Grilandia, you are transported to the heart of Lebanon with its warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of freshly grilled meats, spices, and baked bread. This restaurant is a true celebration of Lebanese hospitality, where every detail from the elegant décor to the impeccable service contributes to an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu is a masterpiece, featuring an exquisite selection of traditional Lebanese dishes made with the freshest ingredients. The hummus is silky and rich, the baba ganoush has the perfect smoky depth. The mixed grill is a must-try, with perfectly seasoned lamb, chicken, and kafta, all grilled to perfection and served with fluffy rice and garlic sauce.

The service at Grilandia is second to none. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests have a wonderful experience. We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Grilandia on Friday, January 24th, at 8:00 PM. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what would become one of the most delightful dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.

The true star of the evening, however, was our waiter, Bashir. From the very first interaction, Bashir made us feel completely at home. He greeted us with a genuine smile and an air of warmth that instantly put us at ease. It wasn’t just about taking our order—it felt like he was welcoming us into his own home for dinner.

Bashir’s knowledge about the menu was absolutely unparalleled. As we considered our options, he not only explained each dish in detail but also shared insights about how they were prepared, including the ingredients and the care taken in crafting them. His recommendations were spot-on, guiding us to selections that perfectly suited our tastes. His passion for the cuisine and his enthusiasm for sharing it with others truly elevated the experience.

Throughout the meal, Bashir’s service was nothing short of impeccable. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. He anticipated our requests before we even had to ask, which is a rare quality in service.

By the time we left, it wasn’t just a meal—it felt like an experience crafted with care and attention to detail. Bashir’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine dedication to making his guests feel special are qualities that should be celebrated.

To anyone planning to visit Grilandia I can’t recommend it highly enough—and if you’re lucky enough to have Bashir as your waiter, you’re in for a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you, Bashir, for making our evening so memorable! We’ll...
