I was very pleased to attend this gallery yesterday as my dad is a well known art dealer & for one of my birthday gifts, he told me to walk into as many galleries/exhibitions as possible to find an ideal piece of art/sculpture to invest in for myself, a friend recommended the Eden gallery & I was beyond excited to go & view all the amazing art work in there. Every piece of art I looked at was sensational indeed & I was in absolute awe of the talent all these artists have, also a very beautiful venue & art space.
From the moment me & my friend stepped in, we didnât feel welcomed at all, no greeting, no smiles, just absolutely poor customer service. The people working there could blatantly see how interested & fascinated we were to be surrounded by such beauty but the only attention we got from the staff, especially one guy in particular in a suit, was to be followed around & stared at in a very uncomfortable manner, I chose to ignore the overpowering negative energy but it was very difficult to overlook. After being there for nearly an hour, with this one man in particular (couldâve been security) approaches me, my friend & 6 year old daughter in a very rude & dismissive way & says ânot too many photos, just one or 2.â Although he already witnessed me take over 5 as nowhere in the gallery states that photos are not to be taken, I have a great respect & love for art so if that was the case Iâd have no problem putting my phone away. I was in a lot of shock in regards to how rude & unprofessional the staff are, I believe I was racially profiled as there were many people in there taking photos but were never approached once as we were the only black people in there. I do believe that, if I were to hop out of my usual chauffeurâs car all suited & booted in designer clothes head to toe with diamonds on me, I guarantee I wouldâve been treated better with a lot more respect, itâs so sad that in this day & age with all the cruelty going on in this world we still have big companyâs hiring such rude & unprofessional people to represent such amazing art. I wouldâve rated this 5* if it wasnât for the staff as the art & space was exceptional, the atmosphere, energy, staff, professionalism & attitude was absolutely unacceptable & dreadful. If youâre not as sensitive as me & donât mind being racially profiled, any race but black & look like you have money then this is the...
Read moreThe Eden Gallery is truly exceptional! The artwork on display is unlike anything Iâve seen in other galleriesâeach piece feels unique and carefully curated. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, and I want to give a special mention to Allegra Seymour. She is extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and went out of her way to guide us through the collection on multiple occasions, providing fascinating insights into the pieces.
The gallery itself offers a serene and welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect place to appreciate brilliant art without feeling rushed. My husband and I also had the pleasure of attending a fabulous and truly unique event earlier this month. We were able to view some stunning new works and engage directly with talented artists, including David Kracov. It was such a rare opportunity to discuss art in a meaningful way and gain a deeper understanding of the creative process.
Overall, Eden Gallery stands out as a destination for anyone who loves art, from casual admirers to serious collectors. The combination of remarkable art, a peaceful setting, and a knowledgeable, attentive team makes every visit special. We highly recommend Eden Gallery to anyone looking for an unforgettable art experience. Thank you, Eden, for making art so accessible...
Read moreI visited the Eden Gallery today as an architect, eager to enjoy the artwork. However, my experience was marred by an unfortunate incident with the security guard. After placing my coffee cup outside, as I knew drinks weren't allowed inside, the guard approached me and rudely stated that "this isnât McDonaldâs" and ordered me to leave.
Despite my attempts to explain that I wanted to enjoy the gallery, he aggressively kicked my coffee cup onto the street, which felt threatening and unacceptable. I was shocked by this behavior, especially with the receptionist witnessing the entire encounter without intervening.
Such unprofessional conduct is not what I expected from a venue like the Eden Gallery. I believe this behavior should be addressed, and I will be taking this matter further. It left me feeling unwelcome and unsafe. I hope the management takes this...
