Halit Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Spoke with the restaurant prior to ordering, seemed helpful. Proceeded to order and pay for my food for collection. Stated 15% discount but that wasn’t applied, but I didn’t mind so much. Drove 30 minutes (hour round trip) and as I pulled up my ordered was cancelled, without explanation and my refund will take at least 5 days. I was so shocked that I decided to pop in anyway just to find out what happened, but the restaurant was shut and lights were off. Doubled checked opening hours and they were supposed to be open. Sent a message on instagram letting them know I was pretty disappointed and they read it and didn’t bother responding. Went in here without any expectations as I saw the very ‘unfamiliar’ menu and decided to try it out. The place was quiet, surprisingly service took way too long. We ordered Jollof rice as its something that has so many variations. And wowwww…it was the best!!!! We also ordered fried plantain and yam along with scrambled egg. The Egg was overly dunked in oil, hated it as I couldn't taste the egg. Will surely be particular about specifying punch of oil next time. Might be early days of business and saw just 1 lady doing everything. Might go again...

The food was OK.. could be better and the potions are too small for the price...I was not impressed...quite disappointed. Very small jollof rice and stingy plantains. Overall, it was just ok..they should be more generous with potion for the money paid minimum £15. Customer service could improve, more communications skills would help.
