henny's — Restaurant in London

I was looking forward to trying henny’s, however, when we arrived, it was pretty busy with seats full and a lot of people standing at the bar. When we asked if there was a table for two we were told it was all booked out. When we asked if you could book we were told you could only book for 6 or more so we were a bit confused (given there were mainly tables of two or four). We decided to try again a bit later so we arrived back at 9pm when it was a lot quieter. There were still no tables available so we asked to stand at the bar for a drink (given there was space to do so), and we were told we couldn’t do this and were turned away. We explained that there had been a heap of people stood up with a drink earlier and then we were told it was because they had run out of glasses. It seemed like there was no consistency with how it was run which was a bit disappointing and has put me off...

GO TO THIS PLACE AND DRINK WINE AND LIVE LIFE. I had always walked past Henny’s and seen a decent size crowd of nice people…like every night…even when the other bars nearby are empty. Interesting.

My visit was fantastic. This place has nice decor, good chilled music and brilliant wine & cocktails too.

But what makes it special is the team and service. A fella called Ryan looked after us and was super helpful and charming, helped us choose the wine but without being judgy or trying to ‘educate’. As the night went on Ryan and his colleague (terrible memory but I think her name was Kay) were so lovely and chatty to us, and to all the guests. It just elevated the night so much.

There is so much to love about this place. Let’s start with the atmosphere, it’s relaxed, it’s friendly, it’s the perfect neighbourhood spot. The service? Any time you can walk in to any type of venue and be greeted by name, you know it’s going to be good! Now... The most important part! The wine? If like me, wine is your drink of choice, immediately stop going to pubs and come here.
