New italian cafe in the area, cute size and cosy spot for a quick breakfast or working from home.
Service: On entrance the barista greets you because the bar is next to the door, very nice welcome. There's only one waiter serving, he was friendly and chatty, really nice people skills. Since he was alone, unfortunately the drinks orders were delayed on several tables, however he was very apologetic. So if you choose to sit down for food, make sure you're not in a rush.
Decor/Ambience: The decor was simple and clean wood design. Didnt hear any music in the background. Most people were working on their laptops. The tables were very close too each other so not comfortable for chats with big group of friends, as it feels slightly claustrophobic.
Food: Very simple menu, mostly all day breakfast, soups and sandwiches. Sadly no vegan options on the menu. The menu had no allergy information written so it takes awhile to order if you have to ask ingredients in each dish. Created my own dish which is an option on the menu too. It worked out cheaper in the end so happy days. Overall food came out in good portions. The pastry and cake selection was more impressive so will be back to try them all.
Best for: 'working from home', quick coffee and pastry pickups.

Read moreWanted to love this café so much. I actually researched this and chose it specifically as it looked so cozy and I had to do a little bit of work on a Sunday. Got there 1.5 hours before closing. First they asked me a little too rudely to finish my sandwich before entering, which was fine I guess, but a little picky. (Normally, I wouldn’t do that, but I felt a little faintly stepping off the bus, and felt I needed immediate food, so just grabbed it at Pret’s before walking up to the café. I intentionally decided not to stay at Pret’s because I prefer indie coffee shops.) So I stood outside the café and ate up. Then I ordered a coffee and sat down inside in the corner which is not in view of the rest of the restaurant. It was about half full and there were definitely enough empty tables around. I got comfy, opened my laptop, only to be told off right away that they don’t allow laptops on the weekend. Right. Okay. Why not be a little lenient. Clearly, I wasn’t aware. Also no one could even see me and there were enough empty tables at 2:30! …I went back to Pret, for coffee & cake, working and common sense. Wasted journey. Won’t...
Read moreThey kicked me out because I have a laptop. My first time there, I was looking for a quick breakfast and coffee and I got such a bad vibe. As soon as I sat down and try to take my laptop, the waitress told me and another person they do not allow the use of tablets and laptops in their place. I left the place but when I walked through the establishment again, I could see the person with the tablet still there with a coffee. When I asked why they did not let me stay but they did let the other person, the waitress answered me rudely: "Yeah, but you are going to work, don't you? the other person is reading". They never asked me if I was going to work (which I was not) or just to check something, they just imagined what I was going to do and straight away kicked me out. Anyway, I do not understand what is the difference between occupying a chair to read or work. So for those who wants to have a coffee while checking their emails or something similar, you are not welcome...
