The hotel is of a very high standard and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were all highly professional and friendly. Even the chambermaids would call out a cheery greeting as one passed by. Reception was efficient and very welcoming indeed. We did not use the restaurant or bar as we were going elsewhere for the evening, and so as far as dining is concerned I can only comment on the breakfast which was a magnificent buffet covering every possible requirement, and again with attentive staff. Our bedroom was in excellent condition with all amenities in tip top condition. The bed was very comfortable and so we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. The hotel is only a few minutes walk away from Putney Station and so is ideally situated for quick access the London's city centre. The only negative for us was that we were, for some reason, unable to connect with the guest wifi, but this was of no great importance. For future visits to the capital we will not hesitate to book the Lodge...

Enjoyed the stay. Friendly staff.
Check in was simple and the room was lovely and clean. The room boast air-conditioning which was required due to our current temperature spike.
In the morning I attended breakfast. Food looked fresh and tasted very nice.
Checking out was simple.
I travelled from the Midlands via train and found getting to the hotel straight forward as once you turn 1 corner, it was a straight forward (albeit slightly long) walk along the same road from Putney Train Station to the hotel.
I would stay there again if I had the need.
Only two disappointments that can be easily worked on. 1, the lobby toilets are insanely hot and did not match the hotel temperature, it made using them not pleasant. 2. The hotel bar, draft beer whilst present was not operating so only could select bottled beer (if you wanted bottle beer).
Like I said above, I would stay again due to the service and room quality so my dissatisfaction i thise two items are not end of the...
Read moreA nice hotel on the border of Wandsworth & Putney, with a short walk to the underground station. We booked our stay via Secret Escapes, and were happy with the overall outcome. Reception staff were great and always catered to our needs, welcoming and friendly. Would stay again.
The only two points to have in mind.. breakfast was included in our rate as standard, however I would recommend not to book breakfast for the extra cost as it is not good value or quality. Within a short walk from the hotel you have a selection of cafes, where you will spend less money and get a better breakfast. From what I could see, there was no lift in the hotel so we had to carry our cases to the room, this was fine for us but good to note if you are not capable of carrying your own cases up the stairs. We arrived Sunday evening and were not offered help, but perhaps because we checked in so late, you would need to enquire...
