HR LOUNGE — Restaurant in London

We booked the restaurant 2 weeks ago for 5 people and then got a call from the restaurant to ask us to cancel as they have a booking for 35 people. After speaking to the restaurant owner he confirmed that it was ok and the problem was resolved l and are booking was still ok for 7:00pm.

Once we arrived we had been sitting for 35-40 mins without being served and at this point we had brought some drinks. We asked if we could order and the staff told us to wait. We were informed the party of 35 people didn’t want anyone else there.

When I spoke to the chef/ owner and explained all 5 of us had booked an uber and brought drinks and after being here for 40 mins we being told you can’t serve us. After speaking to you yesterday you confirmed the booking was ok and now you aren’t going to serve us. I began to explain that this serve isn’t right and we booked 2 weeks ago and the booking was confirmed yesterday this isn’t on. The owner then went on to explain what can he do .. I can’t lose 35 people.

We booked this restaurant to celebrate our child’s birthday, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. Upon arrival, we discovered they had triple booked the venue!!!!!!!! leaving us stranded and scrambling for options. The management was rude and dismissive, offering no real solution other than suggesting we move the party to their takeaway shop nearby. (even though there were 3 parties booked…) When we went to check it out, the place was filthy and, to our horror, we spotted rodents running around.

The food was just as bad as the service—bland, cold, and unappetizing. The staff were unhelpful and seemed overwhelmed the entire time.

This restaurant clearly lacks basic organization, cleanliness, and customer service. If you’re looking for a reliable place to host a special occasion, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

We booked this restaurant for an engagement party, and it was an absolute disaster. They double booked the event, leaving us without the space we had reserved and paid for. The management was completely unprofessional and unapologetic, offering no real solutions. Instead, they tried to send us to their takeaway shop down the road – a filthy and unsuitable location where we saw rodents running around. Wonder what the state of the actual restaurant’s kitchen is like if the takeaway was in such a state…

The service was chaotic, with staff who seemed overwhelmed and indifferent. The food was no better – bland, cold, and far below the standard you’d expect for such an occasion.

This restaurant utterly ruined what was meant to be a special day. Their lack of organization, cleanliness, and basic hospitality is shocking. Avoid this place...
