Given this place has an average rating of 5 stars based on 100+ reviews, we had a very high expectation of the place. But the experience for us was sadly not of the 5 stars. Firstly, the place does not accept card payments. And this is only displayed at the back of the restaurant. We only realised this after we sat down and ordered our drinks (drinks on the menu only talks about soft drinks but we were told alcoholic drinks such as beers and wines are available) and having no cash on me, I had to walk over to the nearest cash point (which is Lloyd’s bank as the other cash point closer was out of service). It would make sense to have this notice on the door or inform the customers on arrival. Secondly, the place was very cold. I think the door doesn’t close properly but throughout the evening the draft was coming through and it was quite unpleasant to stay for a long time because of this. We sat very at the back of the restaurant and felt slightly uncomfortable of the table where you can see 3-4 chefs in the kitchen looking back. We had summer rolls to start - this was acceptable but I found the vermicelli noodle in the summer rolls overcooked. We also had pancakes/dumpling dishes - this was nice and the dipping broth was good. For the mains we had the catfish spicy noodle soup - this was not spicy at all and the fish did not taste very fresh and overall had a very strange aftertaste - it was served with salads and herbs on the side but the salad looked stale and definitely not fresh. We also ordered fried rice and stir fried noodles. The noodles were very bland and we did not fish them The fried rice was fine and the only item I thought was good. Overall, it was a quite underwhelming experience and it may be based on the foods chosen but unfortunately unlikely to return.

I found this place on google and decided to try it because of the amount of positive reviews and I must say they are all right! From the moment we entered we were greeted by lovely members staff who were very welcoming, helpful and informative. The photos online don't do the interior any justice, there is hand painted art on the walls and the place has a homely feel. The staff were patient with us when it came to choosing our meals as there were so many options and we couldn't decide. We went for mixed freshly squeezed juice, Beef Pho, salt & pepper wings, summer rolls and a stir fried noodles. Everything tasted fresh, amazing and authentic. We were also greeted by the owner Lisa who was so friendly. We also got to see the new menu which will hopefully be easier for customers to read although we had no issues with the current menu. We were also given complimentary fried spring rolls to try which was full of flavour and light. If you're local to the Camberwell area and would like to try authentic Vietnamese cuisine I highly recommend. I will definitely be going back and look forward to trying other things on the menu Thank you again Lisa and the team for having us

I may not be the public for this restaurant. If you like generous portions, simple homemade food and are not scared of greasy food, this place is for you! Good quantity/price ratio. The flavours are good but the sourcing of ingredients could be better (but it may also impact prices). We took the Vietnamese pancake. The flavours were good and the portions very big. But it was quite oily and the chicken was industrial. I was full after the starter and I barely could eat the main. We had crispy noodles. The texture of the noodle was good. But I didn’t like the jelly-like sauce. There was a beef dish with rice which was good but the beef wasn’t super tender. The flavours were better than the crispy noodles dish. Most people in the restaurant were having more “mainstream” dishes like pho. So I may try the other dishes next time and maybe steamed ones rather than fried ones. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service is fast. They offer prawn crisps and orange slices at the beginning and end of the dinner which is a nice treat.

A Fantastic Vietnamese Dining Experience!!!🫶🫶🫶 I recently had the pleasure of dining at Huong Viet Camberwell, opened last year and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere.

The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was packed with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The pho had a rich, deeply flavorful broth, the banh xeo was perfectly crispy, and the grilled pork with broken rice was tender and seasoned to perfection. Each bite transported me straight to the streets of Vietnam. The coffee was the bestest 🫶

The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to make recommendations. Despite the restaurant being busy, my food arrived promptly, and the servers made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Whether you’re a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be...
