ICCO - The People’s Pizzeria: A Family Visit

When it comes to finding great pizza in London, ICCO, fondly known as “The People’s Pizzeria,” has long been on my radar. Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing it firsthand with my family, and it didn’t disappoint.

This vibrant, bustling spot delivers on its promise of delicious, affordable pizza—and it’s all halal.

We kicked things off with a classic: the Margherita Pizza. With its thin, crispy crust, it struck the perfect balance between a slight chew and a delightful crunch. The simplicity of mozzarella and tomato sauce allowed the ingredients to shine, and it was an instant hit with everyone at the table.

Next up was the Diavola Pizza. Topped with tender chicken, spicy jalapenos, earthy mushrooms, mozzarella, and tomato sauce, this pizza offered a great mix of flavours and textures. The heat from the jalapenos paired beautifully with the savoury chicken and the richness of mozzarella, creating a balanced yet fiery option that quickly became my favourite.

We also ordered the Neptune Pizza, which brought a more adventurous twist to the meal. Featuring anchovies, black olives, mozzarella, and tomato sauce, it was a delightful option for fans of bold, briny flavours. The salty anchovies combined with the olives’ slight bitterness were balanced perfectly by the creamy mozzarella, making each bite an intriguing mix of tastes.

To round off our meal, we had Cheesy Garlic Bread as a side. Perfectly toasted, the bread was generously coated in garlic butter and melted cheese, making for a warm, indulgent addition that paired well with all the pizzas.

My wife opted for a refreshing Apple, Carrot, and Ginger juice, which offered a light, slightly spicy contrast to our hearty meal. Fresh and zesty, it was the perfect choice to cleanse the palate between slices.

The atmosphere at ICCO is lively and energetic, filled with a mix of regulars and newcomers, creating a communal vibe that’s hard to beat. Watching Alex and the rest of the team work tirelessly to ensure each table was well looked after only added to the experience. With its delicious offerings and wallet-friendly prices, it’s easy to see why ICCO has earned its reputation as “The People’s Pizzeria.”

For anyone looking to enjoy quality halal pizza in a warm, no-frills setting, ICCO is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back to sample more from the menu. Thanks, Alex, for the fantastic service—this place truly lives up...

Coming back here after my uni days fills me with so much nostalgia. This was one of the best places to get a decent meal at a reasonable price, and I'm happy to say that nothing has changed. ICCO remains extremely popular, and with their fantastic choice of pizzas, I'm not surprised. The quality still holds up even after 7 long years, and the prices, while they've crept up a bit (as everything in London has), are still far better value than most places you'll find in the city.

This time around, I ordered their diavola pizza, and it genuinely transported me back in time. Looking at it fresh out of the oven, you can see why ICCO has stayed popular - the cheese is perfectly melted with those appetizing golden-brown spots, the spicy salami is generously distributed, and those green jalapeños add both a pop of color and an extra kick of heat. The base is perfection - flecked with those beautiful leopard spots that tell you it's been properly fired, and the crust has that ideal balance of soft chewiness you want in a good Neapolitan-style pizza. The bright tomato sauce peeking through ties it all together perfectly.

What really strikes me is how ICCO has managed to maintain its identity as a reliable, no-frills pizzeria in a city where everything seems to be getting more expensive and pretentious by the day. The service is still lightning-fast, and they haven't compromised on portion sizes or ingredients. It's still that same welcoming spot where students, locals, and anyone looking for a quality pizza at a fair price can come together. Some places you revisit don't live up to your memories - ICCO definitely...

This place is awesome and we have come here for around 10 to 11 times. We come here often because we like the food and the place but today is the last time we came here and not coming ever again no matter what. We saw the time on the Google and it was saying closing at 12AM. We reached & ordered at the restaurant at around 11:20PM. The staffs were closing the pizzeria while we were eating. At sharp 11:55PM we were told to get up & leave by at least 3 of the staff members. We definitely understand that it is their time to go home after working hard at the pizzeria and we respect your hard work. But the staff should be trained and understand that the customers are paying money to eat there and customers are not going to stay there the whole night may be they take 10 more mins to finish their food but it is not right to straight away tell them to leave the store & make them eat their food outside. We truly understand that staffs are not getting paid for their 10 mins overtime so may be the owner should do something about it but it is totally wrong to tell your customers to go while they are eating. With all due respect we are requesting to take a look at it and resolve it. Today you lost us as your customers but this might help the owner to retain their existing or future customers who is or might come for 10 to 11 times...

ICCO, also known as "The People's Pizzeria", is a fantastic dining option in the heart of London. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a vibrant and bustling atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying some delicious pizza with friends or family. One of the best things about ICCO is the value for money. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. The pizzas are freshly made and cooked to perfection, with a variety of toppings to suit all tastes. The crusts are crispy, the sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is melted to perfection. What's more, the system for getting the food to you is highly effective. You simply queue up, choose your pizza, and within minutes it is ready to take away or to eat in. The staff are friendly and efficient, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free. The restaurant itself has a casual and laid-back atmosphere, with plenty of seating options to choose from. It's a great place to catch up with friends or simply enjoy a quick bite to eat. Overall, ICCO is an excellent choice for anyone looking for delicious pizza at a great price. The efficient system for getting the food to you and the friendly staff make it a must-visit in London. Highly recommended!
