Istanbul Barbecue — Restaurant in London

Well, today I went with my colleague to have lunch there and the service wasn't great. I had to ask for bread three times before it gets served so I can eat my meal which is not a big issue. The shocker was when we were going out and the restaurant staff started asking me if I paid for my meal. I said yes, then he asked me again and I answered yes (thought he just didn't hear me the first time) and then asked me for the third time if I paid and I said Yes and moved out thinking that guy is just being doubly sure that we paid. When crossing the street to the other side, we were faced with the till guy blocking our way and asking whether we paid for the meal. I was like, Are You Serious and he Said yes Im very serious and added that his colleague was checking the cameras. I told him fine, and then I showed him the payment on my G Pay and my colleague had to log on to his online banking and showed him that too then he left us. Can I add that the restaurant wasn't busy, and it is normally customers pay for their meal before they sat and eat it. Just be careful with this shop. He either was too bad at his job or tried to rip us off by paying again if we didn't have a prove of payment. Really bad service from Start to End. Im making sure my colleague adds his review too. It’s the first time in my life that I have been asked if I paid for my meal. Last time going there for sure and will make sure all my company won’t go...

The food in this Kebab shop is disgusting. I've ordered on two separate occasions and both times I ended up with Diarrhoea. That'll teach me to give second chances!! I ate only a quarter of the food. I ordered Donner meat, cheesey chips and some Lamb Shish meat. The Donner had a layer of white lard like substance over it and tasted stale and old. The Lamb Shish meat had zero flavouring and was chewy, gristly and hard to bite into. The cheesey chips were ok. I really wish the local area would give this Kebab shop some competition. I'm sure people only go there because it's the only Kebab shop within walking distance in the area. I also believe this Kebab shop needs a food hygiene inspection and I will be contacting the relevant people...

What a Turkish delight. Meat, meat, meat, nice pitta made soggy with sauce and fresh salad. The whole operation is open plan, clean and visible. Quick takeaways or sit down and get your meat sweats on.

It's a bit pricier than other kebab shops hence the 4 stars but the quality is also superior. Will be going again for sure.
