J.J. Moon's - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in London

This is a very nicely laid out pub with clean chairs and the tables not too sticky. The staff were nice and friendly. My only real gripe was the slowness at clearing the tables that had plates and glasses left for our whole duration at other tables. Even when we get our drinks brought to our table staff go back and don't pick up the empties or plates on other tables. I would recommend visiting the Great Spoon of Ilford where the staff are so on point that they deliver drinks and go back picking up empties and clearing tables on their return to bring more drinks or food.

4.5 stars for this pub. Good prices, good pub grub and comfortable chairs.

As an extra I think the greedy egotistical people ,who hog booths that can hold 4 to 6 people, who take the space for themselves, should be charged a single occupancy rate for their drinks. They do this in hotels and it should be applied to pubs , they just sit there with their laptops drinking a coffee refill for hours....

It's a Wetherspoons and does everything a Wetherspoons does - well.

Always a good and ever-changing selection of real ales at great prices. Even better on Wednesdays and during the many small beer festivals.

The food is amazing value and as long as you don't expect fine dining, you will not be disappointed. Almost always served promptly, with refreshingly attentive and well trained young staff. There are a number of popular 'club nights ' the Thursday curry club is always busy, giving decent curries at a really good price. While this may be fare out of a refrigerated truck, the Tuesday steak club is truly phenomenal. In short, incredible value and beautifully cooked, I have enjoyed many a rump steak, tender and tasty with little fat or gristle - indeed, I have yet to have a bad one, this is in sharp contrast to pub/restaurant chains specialising in steak at significantly higher prices.

This was my first visit to J J Moon's and from this experience it won't be the last one either. A pleasant welcome on arrival, with service explained and Covid19 requirements too.

Once inside the place was very clean and tidy. Staff were about to constantly clear tables and clean up afterwards. Good service end easy ordering system via the app, or via the table service offered.

My friend and I decided to opt for the steak club offer, and we were more definitely not disappointed. Steaks were done to perfection (my rare was done exactly as I like it, and my friend's medium rare steak was just as good).

Definitely be back for more food in the future, as its great value for money, even when not on offer.
