I have to change my review of Jacks cafe after an incedent today. I like my bacon very very lightly done and eggs cooked sunny side up. When the breakfast arrived, the bacon had brown crispy bits on it, which is to over done for me. I sent it back and asked for some fresh bacon. The cook stared exhibiting a bad attitude. I went up to the counter, explained that the bacon was to over done. He reitterated it wasnt, then proceded to take the bacon from the plate and "THROW" it back on the grill whilst snarling he would cook me more. If I hadnt told the waitress at the point of ordering, clearly and coinsisely I wanted the bacon "VERY VERY" lightly done, having it recooked wasnt an issue. But to be spoke to like I mustn't ask for a change and then have the food thrown is unacceptable. I may not go there on a daily basis but when I have been in the past there has been no issue with cooking my food how I would like it...... I will never go to a place that treats its customers in the way I was...

Absolutely loved our meal I had a delicious Spanish omelette with freshly prepared salad and French fries and my husband had a full English breakfast. My husband was stunned by the portion size and that everything was great cooked and prepared to order. The coffee was so good we had to have another one each. I would visit Jack's for the coffee alone it is so good. You forget how good coffee can be when you only go to the Big chains. Then we were given a free taster plate of home cooked apple crumble that had just come out of the oven...Wow just like my Grandmother's! You really must pay Jack's Café a visit you will be so...

My friend got salmonella food poisoning from their salad! She has been vomiting since our visit on Friday, and now it's Sunday! She went to hospital and they ran tests to confirm the diagnosis of salmonella.

Do not eat here ever. It is not as clean as it seems at first glance. This is definitely the last time I will ever go in a cafe of this type.

DO NOT GO HERE. YOUR LIFE IS AT SERIOUS RISK.
