When you dine somewhere once and it instantly becomes a firm favourite? This is what my husband and I experienced yesterday lunchtime in the Jalsha2 restaurant!
We walked through the door of what was a seemingly small local Indian restaurant, and into the most beautiful restaurant we've seen in a long time. The whole place is decorated to the highest of standards, super clean, tidy, just perfect. The lighting alone in this place is incredible, with stunning light fittings, not too bright, not too dim, and a general atmosphere and ambiance that was relaxing, warming and romantic. I cannot stress enough that the attention to detail in every corner of this restaurant was 100% spot on.
But, it didn't stop there, the staff were so friendly and attentive, it was as if we were regulars and had known them for years. Both the food and drink menus were extensive and impressive, and very reasonably priced. Then, when you think that this just can't get any better, the food started arriving, course by course, dish by dish, we slowly experienced the most amazing tasting freshly prepared food. If you held a gun to my head, I couldn't find even the smallest criticism, not one!
We'll see you again, and very soon, and definitely very...
Read moreI’ve eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants but this is by far the best experience I’ve ever had. We had googled “best Indian near me” and this came up. I’m usually quite skeptical but it 100% lived up to the reviews. Friendly staff , absolutely delicious dishes, fast service and very clean!
We initially planned on ordering to go but as soon as we walked in the door, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, we decided to eat in. We were served by Naz, Customer service was very good! Dishes were flavourful and reasonably priced. We ordered 3 starters (King prawn puri and lamb chops were my favs) 2 mains (lamb rogan Josh was 10/10), 5 sides (pershwari naan x3 & seasoned potatoes were the stars of the show)and 6 drinks and I couldn’t believe how cheap the bill! Unlike most restaurants in london, they didn’t add the 20% gratuity so please be sure to leave a tip if you enjoy the service. I would definitely be...
Read moreOrdered delivery for Bindi bhaji, Motor Paneer and Garlic Mushroom. In the name of god I would say the worst Indian food I’ve even had in the U.K. Supposedly this should be an Indian food place and they serve food like mainly for English and European style food with no Indian spices at all and after all not even a pinch of salt in taste. The worst food was Garlic Mushroom (It was just like a garlic and mushroom salad and I ordered this as a side dish or curry, imagine) and Motor Paneer (It was just like a sugary curry full of sugar, I was in sugar diet and this spoiled my diet) and also Bindi Bhaji (There was no spices and worst thing was not even a pinch of salt in that curry). Seriously this is an Indian restaurant and supposedly serving Indian style food but unfortunately serving in an English or European...
