If there was a list for the worst chicken and chips shop in London, I have no doubt this shop would make number one. I and my schoolmate went here to try out the shop because we like to try out different shops. What made us choose this shop was the fact that is was refurbished (still looks like trash) recently. Usually when shops are refurbished the quality of their product is improved, but clearly, that is not the case with this shop.

When I and my friend entered the shop we were sickened by the horrific hygiene this shop displayed. It looked as if it had been thrashed by animals and then neglected for years. That explains why this slum didn't even have a food hygiene rating. This was one of the most shambolic moments of life.

When the food (4 wings and chips ) finally came after an exaggerated waiting time for a half-empty shop we started examining the chicken box. It looked as if it had been re-used by a 5-year-old. The box was full of holes and weird marks that were completely unusual. Moving on to the chips, and it can only be described by words that would get me trouble with Google, therefore, I have opted not to say all of the words: sour, stale, turned, rank, putrid, foul, rotten and rancid. They had an inconsistent texture as well. I know this may seem harsh but its the truth. Because of these nasty chips, we had to back out the sources available to us ASAP. My friend who loves chilli source was in the disappointment of his life when he realised the chaotic state of the chilli sauce. It was extremely watery and horrifying to look at. After this, we immediately searched for an expiry date on the chilli sauce, that was nowhere to be found (how convenient ?). I won't even get started on the mayonnaise because I think the chilli sauce speaks for all the sauces available (dangerous). Time to evaluate the chicken. Or should I say unidentifiable meat. Fact is the chicken didn't even taste like the regular standard chicken you get served these days at chicken shops . It was bad to the point that I and my friend were no longer sure if what we were eating was chicken. The chicken is 10 out of 10 RANCID. The food was so bad me and my friend raced to a corner shop to buy a drink, so that we could drain out the aftertaste

To summarise my experience there it was awful and I don't suggest people come here without good enough reason. Let this be a lesson to all people that you should never eat at a shop without a food hygiene rating if you value your health and taste buds. This shop is definitely out of order and requires some urgent assistance because if nobody intervenes then God knows what will happen. If only Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares never ended, then maybe and I repeat maybe, we would have a saviour...

The dodgiest fried chicken places in Barking.

Went in for the first time and asked if they took card payments. The guy goes we do but can’t you pay cash. I said I don’t have any on me.

He said there’s a cash point outside. I said I don’t have my cards on me I’m going to pay with my phones contactless.

The guy behind chuckled. He reluctantly took my order and when the meal came he asked what drink I wanted. I said Coke. He said we don’t have Coke even though I could see it staring at me in the fridge.

He saw I noticed the Coke and said no Coke with this meal. I took a Pepsi and left. Never to return.

The service was cold. The place looked shabby and was empty other than me who decided to see what it was like as I live close by but...

Pretty good place for getting pretty affordable and nice food. As a retail part time worker, this place is a saviour for me. I've had wings from many stores before and they were simply disappointing, however the wings from here are flavourful and also the portion sizes are generous. The guys that run the store are always nice and have fun with the customers which is nice to see instead of dead seriousness. I've seen other people comment on the chilli sauce, but I think it's really good. At first it may seem odd as it is watery compared to a conventional chilli sauce. But it has good flavour and goes well with wings. Overall this place is...
