We went to the restaurant today to have a family and are very disappointed. First of all, had to wait ages for an waiter to come and take the order. After placing the order, we were told it is cash payment only (only reason is to not record their sales on system). We were given salad and sauces but not the bread, then another waiter came with the bread. On the menu it states each dish has separate bread but we were not given bread with our dishes. The waiter rudely kept blabbing the bread was only one per table. He couldn’t understand we were not asking for free bread. Then spilt alcohol from another table across our table, on floor and an family members dress. Ordered Kofte but came out as sheekh kebab style. The Chicken donner was extremely salty. Had to throw it away. Everything is over priced for the quantity and quality. Extremely small portions and no presentation style at all. While the drinks being far more expensive and a big shame serving alcohol in a halal environment. The staff seem to be busy to have their own dinner then serve customers nicely and politely. Had to wait ages again for the bill to come through. The staff behind the food counter were very nice and welcoming juts the waiters seem to have some kind of ego or were not bordered at all. This restaurant is good for eating economy Turkish food at very expensive prices. Do not recommend to anyone nor will we go...
Read moreSummary: Won't ever return to eat here. Incredibly salty food Cash-only business with no warning or sign One single-stall toilet for all staff and guests (30-table restaurant)
Food incredibly and inedibly salty (had to drink 2 litres of water, and still trying to recover), and very greasy, as well. Portion size on the generous side, but low quality ingredients, high-fat minced meat with ligament / bone chunks. Main course prices in the £15 -18 range, coke £3, beers £6.
Says Turkish restaurant, but little know-how about the cuisine. They served me a different menu item than what I ordered without any warnings. I didn't care much one way or the other, so went along with it.
The one restroom of this restaurant is not up to the standards. Seems that staff and customers use the same one stall -- and this is a 30-table restaurant.
The final nail in the coffin is that they don't accept any cards, and no written or verbal warnings neither on the door nor inside. They semi-rudely shoo you towards the ATM while your companion stays behind as hostage (I don't know what happens to non-cash-carrying solo diners). This a ~30-table restaurant, so you wonder about tax foul play.
Without doubt, I won't...
Read moreI came with friend to this beautiful and calm place in barking to eat something, one of my friend pay the 1st bill By cash. After I ask for 4 biers and the bill was £26, when I ask the waitress to bring the the machine to pay by card, the waitress said that no card payment, only cash. I asked him to call the manager mr Osmar and he told me the same. I was shocked. I asked him why he didn’t told us when we arrived? Or wy there is no signal on the door or inside that it’s cash only? He tried to justify himself but I fell very bad. By the door there is no signal (cash only). They enforce us to go outside after to get cash. After that I asked for VAT receipt Mr Osmar manager said to me we don’t give VAT receipt! And he start to get stressed with us. After all another waitress came and talk nice with me and was trying to explain better. I just accept that and told him that I am not problem maker. I just want solution and it’s unacceptable one place (restaurant) like this take cash only. And more the place as 10 or more customers eating or drinking and I don’t believe all them will pay cash. Never come back again, poor customer service, the manager very weak. If someone come to this place make sure...
