KFC Ilford - High Road — Restaurant in London

Most horrible staff! I have no idea how they got hired in the first place but when I ordered my food some random woman took my food when they called out my order even though I ordered one thing and she ordered three due to her kids. I hadn’t realised because I just figured that she must have ordered the same things as me as all they do is call out the order instead of calling out a number or looking at peoples receipts. So I had waited about 20 mins and then it came to a point where people who ordered after me had been receiving their meals. I asked them why my food was taking too long they snatched my receipt out of my hand to see what I had ordered. The way their system works no wonder there’s so much confusion, the only reason why people still go there is because their food is nice. So they called out and the woman who took my food asked when the rest of her food was. So they figured out that she took my food, then she said that her kids had already ate most of it, the staff were adamant on wanting the food back, I have no idea why, because it’s not like they were going to eat it they were most likely going to chuck it in the bin. So technically that woman ate the food I paid for, so they were trying to make me take the leftover food from the food that the other woman gave back, I refused to eat someone else’s food, so I had to wait longer for my food to be remade and they handed it to me and I asked if I could get a refund format money as they other woman had my food for free, and I didn’t get anything for free! The only thing I did get out of this however was waiting and waiting! And don’t even get me started on the doormen, all of them at KFC are a WASTE!! They don’t deserve to get paid if they don’t even open doors for anyone, the actors who act as doormen in real life are better than the doormen at KFC!!! The whole time they are on their phone!! I don’t understand how they get paid, for doing what? Because it’s clear to me that they aren’t opening doors so what do they get paid to do, KFC can do without a doorman because they doormen aren’t doing anything anyway!! And that same day, the doorman was on the phone and he was going to exit and he asked me to get the door for him, something that he gets paid to do! I don’t know if the doormen there are all sexist or racist and only open the door for certain people, but KFC should look deeper into what kind of people they...

I would've to say my experience has always been excellent but in fact it is more hit and miss at this outlet. The food is mostly ok though at times the chicken has been overdone and left overly dry and crispy. With almost every other order I get home only to realise something was left out or the wrong quantity was sent. When the order is correct and the food cooked as you would expect, it is honestly a very pleasant experience and very enjoyable. At the till some of the staff are absolutely excellent going the extra mile to help you simplify your order and help you get the best value for your money but sadly there are also those who do not help you at all, do not pay attention to your order and do not check when putting your order together that everything is as ordered. This happens all too often so I only use the ilford branch for my smaller orders and will drive to Barkingside where I get a superior service and better quality all round for my larger family orders. My advice is to check your entire order before leaving the shop especially bargain buckets where they often stick 4 to 5 wing pieces in limiting the better cuts which they seem to save for box meals. I’m not one to complain because I’ve worked in retail myself and I understand it can be difficult when under staffed at times. I entered this establishment with my daughter who wanted a simple chicken burger meal and a chicken salad for myself. After some time we were told there was no salad to which I agreed to make do with just leaves with my chicken because there were no tomatoes etc. When we eventually received our food and turned to be seated and were shocked to see the restaurant was empty but the tables were filthy and stacked with paper crockery which hadn’t been cleaned for some time. I politely requested a clean table for us to sit and consume our meal Then my daughter took a bite from her burger and complained that it was cold. I asked the person who had provided us with the food for a replacement since it was inedible but he slammed the burger down and continued to stare in a confrontational manner.
