So Kokodak has finally opened! It is a minimalist Korean Japanese open kitchen restaurant with a choice of bento boxes, sushi, Korean fried chicken rice and noodles bowls as well as numerous soups. From the start you can see this is a simplified upmarket restaurant with attention to detail even with bezel edged take away chopsticks. I tried the beef bulgogi bibimbap which is a Korean rice bowl that comes with a mix of vegetables beef and raw egg (although I asked for mine to be kindly well cooked which they accommodated gladly) and a very delicious sauce that I was told to mix very well and by god was it delicious. The portion size was just right as well! I hope to try a few more of their dishes soon!

A very homely feel - in he most perfect way possible it reminds me of my visit to Japan (despite being a Korean restaurant) - especially Coco Ichibanya. Katsu is perfectly fried and not greasy, the Korean fried chicken is impeccable and great veggie options for my friend. Service was also great. Left so very satisfied and happy :)

Worth all the 5 star ratings...great new korean place, big portions and really tasty, I work in the area nice to have somewhere to go for a quick lunch as not many options around here. good value lunch options avaliable! Update May 2025: Tried the beef bibimbap now too, portion was big and lots of different delicious toppings!

Best local restaurant. Portions are large and the food is good, so the £10 lunchtime specials are great value. Korean and some Japanese food on the menu. Small, basic cafe, seating about a dozen at several tables for 2 or 4.

We're regulars almost since it opened, as we live nearby. The choice of half a dozen different beverages originally included in the lunchtime special has been reduced just to a bottle of still or sparkling water. There have been several changes of staff (there are only ever 1 or 2 at a time, who do everything) in less than a year but the dishes tried remain...

Amazing little Korean food place - authentic and delicious. We were surprised as when you look from the outside looks like a takeaway but inside it’s a cosy little restaurant and the owner really takes pride in the food.

Got the spicy Korean fried chicken and spicy pork bimbap. All cooked to order and used really fresh ingredients. Decent portion size. High quality loose leaf tea. Would def come back again to try more...
