Levante Restaurant (Lewisham) — Restaurant in London

I placed an order last night and admittedly I ordered the food at my old address. I then contacted this poor, substandard restaurant and apologised for my mistake and wondered where my £33 order had gone. They the substandard restaurant then called the lying delivery driver MR AHMED and he stated the he called my phone 3 times. Again admittedly I never realised that I gave my old address and I had paid for the food before delivery. NO CASH PAYMENT ON COLLECTION. The lying driver stated that he knocked on the address door and then claimed that he left the food inside the flat partition, without establishing where I was.....THE PAYING CUSTOMER. The lying driver never took the food back to the substandard restraurant. So having discovered the lying drivers actions, I wanted my food again!!. The substandard restraurant manager or sidekick then told me to contact JUST EAT. So I complained immidiately. They stated that the lying driver should have never left the food in the flat partition without establishing the customer's whereabouts. The lying driver should have returned the prepaid £33 order to the substandard restraurant. So I contacted the substandard restraurant and explained, but the manager or sidekick never agreed and told me to contact JUST EAT again, as they may re- order the food. Ok, so I contacted JUST EAT and contacted the substandard restraurant and requested a new order of food. The substandard restraurant REFUSED!!! But JUST EAT will investigate the matter and a possibly refund of my hard earned money. The substandard restraurant, lying driver and manager or sidekick provided a very poor service. I have used this substandard restraurant on many occasions, spending over £400. I would NEVER SUGGEST this SUBSTANDARD RESTRAURANT TO ANYONE. I WILL...

Pleasant restaurant, ambiance was lovely, presentation of food good. tasted fresh and was cooked well and delivered hot. Salad enjoyable. However, some issues were encountered. Booked table for four people with Groupon voucher only three was in attendance. Were told that our main meal value was up to £13 but there was no main meal under that amount. With that in mind I asked whether the order which we placed over the value (£13) could be offset with the value of the fourth person who was not there and was told they could not do this, which we could not understand. Discretion could have been applied here. Added to this, there was a lengthy pause between the starter and the main meal (45 minutes), the starter dishes were not removed whilst we were being presented with the main meals and they had to be told to move the dirty plates and at no point were we asked if the meal was OK or if we needed anything else like more drinks etc I was with two sisters one had fish and the other had a meat dish and they were unable to eat it all so they asked for it to be a take away and when the female staff came back they had mixed all the meals in one takeaway container. Totally unacceptable. Should have been two different takeaway containers!!! Neither one was able to enjoy the take away! Overall a good restaurant but need to use their discretion and not to assume that all parties live in the same household and to ask periodically about the need for more drinks or if everything is...

A pearl in the ocean, this restaurant serves superb food. No surprise that it seems well attended even on quiet midweek days, but make sure you sit down as the eat-in menu has excellent dishes the take-away doesn't. Flavour and freshness combine with real hospitality - when I asked for a simple cup of English tea to accompany my Adana kebab (I had a takeaway two days earlier, and came back just to eat it again it was so good) while the younger waiter was sent out to replenish stocks, the guv'nor brought me warm flat bread and some delicious olives. They make great coffee too, the salads are all full-on meals so don't make the mistake of ordering one with another dish, you won't fit it in. Try the forest pot for a tasty casserole-type lamb stew. Vegetarians won't be disappointed either, lots of choice including the usual falafels and hummus. They have totally cracked the problem of cooking over charcoal inside by having a super-efficient air extractor - you won't smell everyone else's meal - but I wouldn't mind the herbal fragrances drifting through my window if I lived nearby, because the food is so fresh and balanced. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, and even better, there are three of them locally, yes three! So it's clear the locals find the same pleasures in this well run fixture that I do.
