Lunablu Italian Restaurant (Muswell Hill) — Restaurant in London

Overall disappointing; don't think I'll come back. Not terrible, but there's a reason it's not busy on a Saturday evening.

Pros: Real neighborhood spot, lovely/friendly staff Cons: Loud Mexican music playing (odd choice for an Italian restaurant), low food quality, low value.

We ordered a pizza that had ice-cold "fresh" mozzerella on it like it was straight from a freezer. It made the whole pizza cold in 2 seconds. Asked for fresh chillies as a topping on the pizza and received only a single, charred, 2cm chilly on the pizza (and it cost £1 for that 1 chilly!). Asked for dried chillies and they only had chilli oil which was not spicy at all. There was a lack of saltiness that made everything taste bland and when we asked for salt, they said they didn't have any. Charged 10% service tax and the waitress was nice, but the overall experience was bad.

The cost for the two of us - sharing 1 small pizza, 1 side of aubergine with sauce/cheese, and each had a glass of wine, was £45. The quality was on par with reheating frozen grocery store stuff.

On one hand, we want to support local businesses, but on the other hand, this experience reminds me of why I usually eat...

Ok so I've eaten from here before and had no complaints but ordered a delivery on Friday night. Firstly it took me about 20 minutes to order through their website - very slow. After ordering I was assured that I would receive an email confirming my order - I did not. I then called up to check with them on my order - very unprofessional sounding on the phone. I had specifically requested that the delivery driver call my mobile when outside because our doorbell currently doesn't work - of course they did not do this and instead rang all the doorbells, alerting our neighbours below but not us. Once we finally had our pizzas in hand we realised very quickly that they had messed up and placed the extra toppings on the wrong pizzas. And both pizzas were seriously underdone. I've eaten here before so I know what they should taste like, and they tasted anything but. Had been rushed.
