Ma Petite bowl of rice !
Ridiculous.
The worst dining experience ever. Poor customer service from the MANAGER of the establishment. We booked a large table of over 10 people. They don't have enough food to feed us the dishes we originally we had to compromise. Ontop of that the portion sizes are completely off, the ratio of rice to stew is ridiculous. Once expressed to the waiter , he said the manager would be over . I waited over ten minutes and the manager did not come I had to take my food over to the manager. Where i was met with a stubborn man who did not care and who was impolote and standoffish.
There should be enough rice in a portion to eat my meal without rationing.
The manager did not care one bit and has no customer service skills. Following that He walked past me and said did I say something as I'm talking to my friend about the situation, almost as if he wants to fight. For the amount of fish I had left I'm not buying a whole portion of rice just so I can finish my meal that is ridiculous.
I will never be visiting again.
You can get better food at local restaurant. No need for this level of incompetence from the manager.
So in the end I didn't finish my meal!!
I left it on the bar and they threw it in the bin.
I can't just eat fish on its own it needs an accompanying item.
As a manager he should listen and acknowledge the customer.
His attitude towards me is disgusting and unacceptable as far I'm concerned . 0/10 would not reccomend.
He even said don't come back. The rudeness.
I have just seen another customer get served the same dish as me , and they has a considerable amount of rice more than I did. Their rice bowl is filled to the top.
And the restaurant is cold.
To conclude a solution would have been to offer a spoon of rice so I can finish my meal.
But instead, attitude .
The manager is behind the bar drinking. -_-. Explains the attitude if he is intoxicated. I don't think alcohol is the only thing he's taking !
Manager said I'm banned as if I would ever return ! He didn't even come to say it to me in person, he made the worker say it to me, Totally unfair.
I refused to pay for that particular meal, id have paid if i was able to finish my meal. This request was met. So I guess you earned that one star.
All of my party agreed the portion sizes where too small and...
Read moreI was a guest at your establishment, which was to celebrate my birthday. I would have complained on the day however I felt as though it wasnât fitting as my guests were present and I spent so much time preparing for this celebration for myself and my guest to not enjoy it fully. I have visited your establishment before, I really enjoyed the experience lhence why I came back. To my dismay I, nor my guests enjoyed the food served, staters- the âfrittersâ was very dough like and heavy similar to that of a dumpling, the mains - jerk chicken and rice, the chicken was tender but it wasnât jerked, it tasted like baked with a gravy , the coleslaw tasted very awful , the dumpling served was doughy and distasteful. The most disappointing dish of all was the dessert, the brownie was bitter and the presentation needed more (for all the dishes). Furthermore, the rum punch ⌠was 5 part punch & a dash of rum, for a rum punch it lacked rumâŚ.. we were still sober. The music was very adhoc, there was no theme or direction of the music , drake , George nooks , Nicki Minaj and Sister Nancy canât be blended. Whilst I do understand this is a business, I feel like it needs to represent the culture that is being advertised, I really wanted to enjoy it but I couldnât. All of my guest present were caribbean, whilst we are not Jamaican we have knowledge of the authenticity of dishes. Ultimately, I felt as though my birthday meal was horrible, I couldnât salvage it & I left disappointed.
Additionally, I would like to know what makes the St Lucian fish dish , St Lucian as the waiter did not seem to know. The young waiter was nice , I canât discredit that , however he would be able to express how he perceived our expression when the food arrived.
In closing, I would like to recommend the following; Better dishes & making more authentic Presentation skills improved If other islands names are mentioned for dishes, make sure it ties in with their...
Read moreUPDATED:This is a difficult one for me... I've contacted the organisers privately so I will update my review after they reply. I booked for the "Bottomless Brunch" which is a new service, my companion and I were the first people ever to book the brunch and it showed. It was a bit disorganised as the waitresses didn't know what the brunch menu was and eventually took our phones to kitchen to show the chefs what to make... I had the non-vegetarian plate and everything was cold - after they nuked it in the microwave it was tasty but most items were now too tough. The vegetarian skewers were drastically under-seasoned and my friend couldn't eat them which was a shame as they were the majority of her meal. The rum punch was unlimited and quite strong- if you're a big drinker then you'll enjoy the rum punch! The toilets were very clean but not fully accessible as they are only downstairs. I'd give this restaurant another chance as the other meals looked really tasty and despite the temperature and texture of my food the flavours were authentic. I feel it was a case of not being properly prepared for the brunch particularly the vegetarian option. I feel with more constructive feedback and more time the brunch will be excellent. UPDATE: we returned for a do-over complimentary brunch on 9th March 2019, this time round they were much more organised and the food was hot. The vegetarian option particularly still needs some work and the brunch menu has been tweaked since last time, but there is still room for improvement. Overall I commend the owner/manager for his attentiveness and willingness to accept feedback AND act on it. I would return and I'm considering having my friends and family Christmas Dinner here. (The photo with the calamari rings was the...
