Excellent delicious REAL tapas We visited three times this week and were not disappointed. My girlfriend's sister was visiting us from Spain (Bilbao). Where do we start - arrived around 2pm and found a quiet table at the back in their garden. Delicious Negroni to kick off and immediately ordered the morcilla, Padrón peppers, ham croquetas & pan tumaca. Nerea & Aran loved everything - the black pudding (the good stuff with rice, garlic fried bread) was the best we've tasted in a long time. To quote them both - "this is the best tapas we've ever had in London" A few days later we came to try the Sardines, patatas bravas, Whitebait and Calamari & salad russe - all dishes were fresh and tasty. We will be back on a regular basis for more delicious, authentic Spanish food. Gracias Maria !

Came here last year July with my partner, although the food was ok, we found some of the food too salty. The portion sizes for what you pay for seemed a bit pricy too! The service itself was quite below par as we was seated outside and left for way over 30 mins before being served. We didn’t have anyone come back to see if we wanted anything else or even at the end paying the bill took over 20 mins to get out of the place. I would somewhat recommend Maria’s but would also advise to look around the strip of shops here as there are plenty of other options. Although this is the only tapas place in Dulwich which I hope has improved by now.

Very nice Saturday lunch. Lovely home made Basque pintxos and friendly owner. My favourite today was Pan Tumaca (toasted bread with garlic and tomatoe) and Gildas (tradicional for north of Spain pintxos made usually with olive, salty anchovies, spicy green pepper and pickled gherkin). We've also had mushroom croquetas, goats cheese bites, padrón peppers and gambas al ajillo. All very flavoursome. Great little place with good vibe where you can try authentic Basque deliciousness. Well recommended 👍

Called up a week in advance after coming across the restaurant online, as wanted to ensure we would be able to get a table for a family meal - 4 of us would be attending and from the few pictures we could see,the majority of seating was either small tables for 2, or seated along the bar on high stools. We wanted to ensure we were sat on the same table and as one of our group is currently disabled, a standard table was essential for us. The staff on the phone assured there was a table they could reserve for us so we confirmed the time we would be attending. We arrive on time yesterday evening to see the only appropriate tables were already in use, so we question this with the staff to be bluntly told that we could eat at the bar. We clarified that we'd spoken to them in advance about our situation and they had assured us that there would be a table for us. They rudely insist that they consider the bar to be a table and appropriate for what we needed. Clearly reservations...

Maria’s tortilla was a delight! Immediately felt warmly welcomed into the restaurant by Maria herself who took our orders swiftly with the food and drinks arriving within 20 minutes or so.

The restaurant was busy and vibrant and Maria has captured the atmosphere of a Spanish bar and restaurant beautifully.

The food was fantastic, we had the Gambas, Spanish tortilla, calamari and patatas bravas. All of it is cooked fresh in the kitchen and was great hearty food. The Gambas in particular blew me and my girlfriend away. We ordered additional bread in order to mop up the sauces, we both agreed it was the best we’d had!

Overall great, would...
