Great all day breakfast, a bit pricey but similar to local competition at around £7. Service and staff are friendly and quick. Was meeting locals there who referred to it as the "Princess Diana Cafe" was puzzled as it's called Market Cafe, but then you go in and, wow do they love the "Queen of Hearts?" If you're not a fan of Princess Diana, well it's a visual spectacle you're not likely to forget any time soon. If you are, this is a home away from home. Recommended either way :)

Very rude service. She overcharged us and wouldn't give the correct change. She said they don't charge service charge so they take it themselves. I kept saying I wanted the correct change and she called me STINGY and gave me the change. I gave her 10% tip. Won't go back. I had a vegetarian lasagna and it was tasty. We were the only customers (both times we had been there). Now we know ..they make up prices and don't stick to the menu price.

Probably one of the best places to people watch in the borough, free of the sound of motor traffic. Of a market day morning, you can sit out front in the sun, sip a coffee and listen to the murmurings and shuffling of the high street. They have a proper coffee machine so that's covered too.

We enjoy our visits to Walthamstow Market 2 or 3 times each year. It's buzzing with shoppers and is a real melting pot of all nationalities with stalls which cater for everyone's tastes. We make our way from the Town Square Gardens where there are some fast food outlets and brilliant fruit and veg stalls and head down the High Street towards the junction with Willow Walk and Palmerston Gardens. By the time we get to the Market Cafe we are pleased to have a sit down and we are ready for lunch. The Market Cafe is a lovely old fashioned cafe and almost a shrine to Lady Diana. The walls are covered with pictures and momentos. Maybe she visited there some time in the past, I don't know. The cafe is run by some ladies who are very efficient and obliging - nothing is too much trouble. The menu is quite extensive which makes it difficult to choose but that's not a bad thing. The meals are very reasonably priced and served up on larger plates than you probably have at home - the portions fill the plate. The food is cooked well and we don't have to wait long before it is served. My wife normally orders the scampi (eight pieces) with fries and salad whereas I go for a cheese omelette, fries and beans. Real comfort food which I can just about finish. All cooked to perfection. There are tables and chairs outside but we prefer to sit inside - it's very cosy. You will not be disappointed if you visit this cafe. I'd...

I have been today in walthamstow....every time I'm eating here . ....I know this place when the old couple had it....they were always nice!!!! ....but today I went in the morning and as I passed I bought only a bottle of water as wanted to eat paella....so when I come back I went inside straight at the toilet as I see the lady at the table eating with a gentleman......and I went out....only for him to come after me outside and tell me that I didn't ask the permission to use the toilet....but properly rude and shouting!!!! If they will have cameras they can check that I bought something today from there and I really do the that the lady knows me aswell and because she was eating that's the reason I didn't ask? But for that guy to do that I find it very rude and if a woman is using the toilet he should've use his brain before doing that? What if I'm pregnant? Period? .....doesn't matter but that was UNBELIEVABLE WHAT HE DID? So after using this coffee shop weekly ( always have herbal tea there and is clean) I DEFINITELY WON'T RECOMMEND IT JUST BECOUSE THE EXPERIENCE I HAD TODAY! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE! NEVER MET SUCH...

Nice cafe with a Turkish theme (atmosphere/music). I had the Turkish breakfast my wife had the Panini - chicken, salami and mozzarella. Food was good, my boiled eggs where slightly overdone but it doesn't bother me but it does for some people the rest of the meal was lovely. My wife's Panini was really nice very filling and came with a lovely salad. Staff where attentive always happy to help and the service was quick without lacking quality. Drinks where nice, a good coffee and hot chocolate. A place that shouldn't be overlooked. Accommodates for children as well! Would of only deducted half a star for the...
