Marlowe's Burger - Bromley — Restaurant in London

Went on Sat 30/Oct/2021 at around 230pm with 8 kids for my sons birthday. Ordered a variety of burgers / chips / drinks. Interiors are a bit gloomy and no plates / cutlery - all items are served in Silvery Aluminium foil. The order took a long time to come. When it did, it came for 6 boys and the other 2 boys had to wait a long time... The waiter spilled the chips n salt on my phone / table while serving, and then promptly just swept it by hand ! The cooks - there were two in the kitchen, seemed to be running around and seemed to be in a lot of pressure. Could see deliveroo folks come in , on and off The veg burgers were "OK" as per my son. Made of corn, but he rated the veg burger a 1star compared to other veg burgers at GBK and other places in London. 7.One of the boys orders was really late and I was told ( when I got up to go an ask ) that its not been paid for. I was taken aback and told her that "in that case you should have told me immediately". "Why are you waiting?"

All in all, i think this place is relatively new and right now, their operations are more geared for "takeaway" and not yet optimized for "eat in".

Gave my feedback to the owner ( who was himself managing the till, giving the orders in the kitchen and running around serving the tables ) !!! and he said that they were short of staff on that day and hence the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marlowe's Bromley and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the service. Adam, who served our table, was exceptionally nice. He was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a genuine warmth that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a priority at Marlowe's, and Adam exemplifies this perfectly.

As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was a testament to the kitchen's skill and creativity. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. we felt uncomfortable during our visit here. Whilst the food was nice it was our first time at this venue and we waited a while upon arrival as we wasn’t aware that you just seat yourself it wasn’t until a member of staff eventually acknowledged us did we find this out. Similarly we wasn’t aware that the ping pong tables you hire them. My son is young and saw other children his age playing so naturally wanted to play too. When the other guests left my son played for not even 5 minutes and we got funny looks from the staff at the counter and then someone came over to say he couldn’t play. That’s fair enough but as a venue you shouldn’t assume that visitors are aware of your regulations especially as there’s nothing evidently obvious to tell us we couldn’t play. Similarly if we can sit wherever we want don’t allow people to sit near the ping pong tables if it’s for private hire you should show people...
