Bricklayers Arms — Restaurant in London

Honestly, never been treated so rudely in a pub in my life. Have been in for a drink a few times before with no issue. Went in tonight with my partner, we were sat down talking for no more than 10 minutes when a man approached us from the bar and asked if we were getting any drinks. I had an appointment to go to shortly, so I declined, but my partner intended to wait in the pub and get a couple of pints until I was finished, at which point I intended to go back and join them and get a drink as well. My partner told the man he would come to order in a minute. The man walked away saying "the bars over there" in a very passive aggressive manner. No more than 5 minutes later, just as I was preparing to leave for my appointment, he came back and said; "Are you going to get some drinks or what?" When we responded by saying we told him already that we would order in a minute and what was the problem, he said; "You're just sitting there talking, this isn't a social club!" At which point I told him that it isn't a legality that we have to order anything, and my partner asked who he was, he said that he was the landlord, which is just appalling behaviour and from the landlord and a terrible way to do business. No wonder the place was empty. We would have ordered drinks and happily spent money there. But instead my partner elected to leave as well, and they lost money and customers, and I won't ever be going back. All because the landlord couldn't leave us alone when we were minding our business. If he reads this, you've got a lovely pub, but you are rude and not a good landlord if this is the way you choose to treat your customers. I will also add that both me and my partner are autistic and my partner is disabled, so it does take us a bit of time sometimes to decide on food/drinks etc. But at no point should I have to disclose that information. Very good fast service, food was nice aswell. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars was because of the ordering. No app or at least on Google playstore for android so used the QR code but through the website was a bit slower especially through the payment process was a bit difficultly. GooglePay (GPay) didn't seem to work. Too many codes though texts and verifications through Visa Debit. PayPal seemed to work best for me. Also when you want to order something new it comes up with the previous order on the checkout basket of the site eg the burgers and chips which you won't want a 2nd portion so you have to clear your basket of your previous order everytime you want to order something new and different.

A few tweaks for ordering would save a fair bit of time & hassle. Maybe looking at someone like Weatherspoons App that's very easy & quick to use plus keeps a record of an online receipt until you receive your food

Came for a bday club meal where you get one meal for free but still felt ripped off :(( the buttermilk spicy burger I ordered was £11.50, came on a tiny plate with no salad or chips - granted they did say there would be no sides. The absence of sides made me think the burger would at least be sizeable, but it wasn't, it was very small. The chicken inside only filled half the burger !!!! I thought maybe it's really good quality chicken and the flavour would be amazing; it wasn't :((( the chicken was rock solid and was like ripping through stale bread. The sauce was nice though, and my girlfriend's hot dog that she got was delicious, albeit overpriced too at £9 for a standard sized dog. Was like theme park prices and theme park portions 😩

The pub itself had a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly, but if you're a student or a birthday club goer thinking you can get a reasonably portioned and priced meal here, you'll be sorely...
