McDonald's — Restaurant in London

A trip to McD's is meant to be a low stress fast delivery of hot fresh food. Well out trip on Sunday the 1st March 20 was far from that. It didn't bode well from the start, the only two disabled bays both my sister and myself are disabled, were in use, as yes you guessed it not one blue badge in sight. Having said that the position I actually parked in was somewhat nearer to the entrance as the disabled bays were on the opposite corner of the building. Not well placed McD. We went in as we had vouchers to use and the 2 lanes of drive through were long. We used the machine to place our order, then looked up in dismay we were 36 and they were still preparing 20. This carried on for some 15 minutes as about 15 bags of food were taken outside and numerous given to delivery drivers. So after 20 mins fo standing there and I use crutches and have problems sitting and standing, 2 guy at the front called a manager and complained they had now waited 25 minutes, my sister went up and told him we had also been waiting 20, and more food was going out the door or to delivery drivers but the now packed area of some 20 or so people were still waiting and not one number had moved on the board. He was quite rude and basically didn't care. Some manager he was they either didn't have enough staff or the staff deployed were not being used to best if their ability. Both myself and my late wife worked at the Croydon north end branch many years ago. It was the flagship store of the company. We could turn out Big Mac's and regular burgers, at about 36 (12 Macs and 24 regulars) every 6 minutes. And that was with just 3 staff. So with all the staff working in that branch that night they should have had no problems. So with the stress that is caused and when we did get it after 35 mins the not so hot food and cold coffee didn't go down too well but we were very hungry. So today both my sister and I have very unsettled tummies, as both the stress and poor food really kicked off our IBS so I now have 2 or 3 days of agonising cramps and queezey guts. I have travelled the country, visiting many a mcdonalds restaurant as I go, and allow me to say, this branch takes the proverbial biscuit.

The drive thru' service was more than acceptable, however upon recieving our food mere seconds later, the issues doth begin.

One of my colleagues had explicitly requested 4 pots of tomato ketchup dipping sauce to accompany his 20 chicken nuggets, and the lady confirmed this at the time of ordering, yet only 3 were found in the bag.

My other colleague had the same request for his 20 nuggets but to no avail. Not a single plastic pot of the condiment was present. To add insult to injury, when the additional component of the meal (taking the form of a cheeseburger) was unwrapped, it almost seemed that it was assembled in the incorrect order. The meat sat all but outside of the two buns, to one side. The same can be said for the cheese, however it was to the other direction of the meat. To top it all off, the ketchup was very caringly applied to the top of the bun, making a rather saddening meaty, cheesy, and extraordinarily slippy bread monstrosity, with no napkins to attempt a clean and dignified consumption of the items.

Then came to my meal. The fries were absolutely spot on, and expertly seasoned. Unfortunately though, my 'Grand Big Mac Bacon' looked to be unceremoniously yeeted in the general direction of the bag, with only one bun and a pile of lettuce residing in its respective box, the rest sitting in the bag beneath, lonely and sad.
