Mez Lounge — Restaurant in London

Last week was my first time here and from the moment I got to the door myself and three friends were greeted by a very smily and polite door staff. He complimented us and wished us a good night as he held the door open for us. Most places, security compliment you and then ask for a number etc but this guy was very professional. He also asked if we had a good time when we were leaving and wished us a safe journey home. Owner/Manager take note as first impressions really do count😁 (26/08/23 for reference lol) We spent all our time in the garden and the decor is absolutely amazing, very Instagram worthy, if that's your thing! My friends ate some food and were raving about how delicious it was. One even mentioned she's had this before else where but this is the best she's had ever. Reading other reviews some people were not happy you have to get up and go to the bar to order drinks, but the staff were more than happy to attend to us in the garden area and bring drinks with a card machine. As for parking, we parked right outside but of course this may be tricky during the day. Music was A1, the atmosphere was A1 and if this Lounge was in Canterbury it would be my new local. Not Worth the Hype

I recently visited MEZ Lounge and I must say, it was a huge letdown. From the moment we walked in, the experience was disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. We waited over 30 minutes just to place our order, and the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive.

When the food finally arrived, it was underwhelming, to say the least. The dishes were bland and lacked any real flavor. The presentation was sloppy, and the portions were shockingly small for the price. To top it off, some of the food was lukewarm at best, which is just unacceptable.

The atmosphere also left much to be desired. The restaurant was noisy and cramped, making it hard to enjoy any sort of conversation. The tables were sticky, and it seemed like cleanliness was not a priority here.

Overall MEZ Lounge was a big disappointment. There are far better options out there. Save your time and money and avoid this place. I won't be returning, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to...

I visited this restaurant two days in a row. On Saturday evening and had the grilled fish and plantain. I asked for the pepper on the side — a smart move in hindsight. It was extremely spicy, and having it separate made a big difference.

The ambience and aesthetic get an easy 8/10. The space is well put together and feels inviting. They’ve also got a shisha garden, which is a nice touch — also 8/10. Good atmosphere, decent setup.

The next day, I went back to try their Sunday buffet. It seemed like their first go at it. There were too many options, which felt a bit all over the place and hard to sustain. The food, again, was very 🌶 🌶 🌶 across the board. I'd rate the food overall 4/10 (the peppesoup was the best) 😃

One big miss was the restroom — 2/10. The women’s restroom wouldn’t comfortably fit anyone over a size ten. Instead of squeezing in two tiny cubicles, one spacious, aesthetically pleasing toilet would be a much better choice.
