PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE
We attended Miki’s paradise after it being recommended for their 5 star reviews across Google and loads of which we have discovered to be fake images of their food which as noticed is nothing like the images (as upon reading further to see if we were being over critical that other people have said the same thing )
Firstly we arrived and only 3 people was there and wasn’t very busy we walked past the 2 servers and they said take a seat and seemed friendly at first once we took a seat it took 15 minutes to be asked for what we wanted which when it was empty and they were stood chatting was not adequate once they finally took our order it took them 30 minutes to bring out 1 latte and 1 iced coffee every time we asked for an update they kept saying 5 minutes (which upon reading seems to be a common occurrence) once we were finally served our coffees the latte tasted sour and the iced latte had clumps of milk in it which was not safe to consume once we was finally served our food after an hour they forgot the butter and the bananas which they went and put a whole banana on a plate not even chopped up baring im mind this isn’t a cheap pancake at £13 (advertised at £13 but actually cost £14) We got a whole strawberry 3 blueberry’s and 2 raspberry’s and 3 small pancakes and don’t worry we did inspect them for gold as at that price you would expect it the pancakes were doey and undercooked and the fruit was as if it had been boiled and the maple syrup was like water when we approached the staff about our issues they said that we wasn’t used to the taste of their food and everyone loves it we asked to see the milk and as they showed us it had the curdles all around the rim and was clumpy the place seems to lack general hygiene as when they was making pancakes they was cracking the eggs and putting the shells on a chopping board which we then watched them butter bread on the servers was serving food making drinks collecting stock and handling payments with the same gloves which isn’t just poor hygiene but cross contamination the pastries were uncovered and had flys on them and the apples were brown and in a basket by the front door and the place was just generally dirty
We don’t want to sound critical or slate local businesses but this place is just dirty and would not want to see anyone getting I’ll
I have attached the mushy pancake...
Read moreI stumbled across Miki’s Paradise on Holloway Road and I’m so glad I did. It’s one of those places that instantly feels welcoming the moment you step inside. The vibe is cosy but lively, with a splash of fun in the décor that makes it feel a little different from the usual chain cafés around. The food is what really makes it special. Their crepes are amazing — both the savoury ones (the halloumi is a favourite) and the sweeter options if you’re in the mood for something indulgent. On top of that, they do some seriously over-the-top freakshakes that are just as fun as they are tasty. I also tried their coffee and a smoothie, and both hit the spot. What stood out to me too was the staff — they’re genuinely friendly and make you feel looked after, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. If I had to be picky, it can get busy (especially on match days with the Emirates Stadium nearby), so sometimes service takes a little longer than you’d like. But honestly, the food and the overall vibe more than make up for it. All in all, it’s a great spot whether you want brunch with friends, a sweet treat, or just a nice coffee break. Definitely one of the nicer finds...
Read moreI came to Miki’s Paradise for my friend’s 20th birthday, the food was soo delicious, and the drinks were so refreshing! My friends had ham and cheese crêpes, mushroom crêpes and pulled chicken crêpes, and I had the ‘day’s special’ jerk chicken barbecue crêpe. I had a healthy ‘winter warmer’ hot drink made with ginger, lemon and honey (which helped soothe my sore throat) and my friend had an orange, carrot and apple juice. We all enjoyed our food so much and were sad that we didn’t have enough space in our tummies for more dessert 😭 The waiters were really friendly and helpful, asking us if we were enjoying our food and if we needed anything else etc. The place was decorated really nicely with beach signs on the walls and cute little details (even the fridge looked fancy 😄) I also liked the fairy lights in the bathroom, gutted I forgot to take selfies in there! All in all I had a great experience at this lovely little holloway crêperie, I would definitely...
