Genuinely, one of, if not the worst dining experiences I have EVER had in London.
Me and my girlfriend strolled in on a Saturday afternoon to the loudest music I have ever heard in a restaurant; and an INCREDIBLY cold reception from the ‘staff’ we found a seat and checked the menu, after seeing the exorbitant pricing, we decided, were here why not? It must be good if they’re charging this much
This was a fatal mistake.
After, admittedly a short wait, my girlfriends cauliflower pita came out, by come out, I mean somebody was shouting my name to tell me to get her food. Self service isn’t something that particularly offends me, by the need to pay a 12% service charge, after 0 service, seems like a scam
This (very small) cauliflower pita was in all honesty a complete mess, the wet pita fused to the cold, soggy, blended cauliflower and the whole experience of this meal, was akin to eating mud.
After, this time, a longer wait (food came out at much different times) my lamb pita was ready for collection.
Cold Pickles, a crudely chopped half onion stuffed haphazardly into the structurally unsound wet bread. A small, undercooked chunk of lamb. I couldn’t believe an animal had given its life to be wasted in such an offending sandwich.
This meal genuinely ruined my day a personification of the failures of London in general. Especially considering that the whole experience was the same price as a real meal, (two pitas, a touch over £30) With real service It should’ve been genuinely 1/5 of the price.
Rethink your restaurant. Namely the 12% service charge...
Read moreVisited this place yesterday with a friend and was a really horrible experience overall. We were first seated inside at a table and had been sat down but we’re told we had to go up to order, which is fine. However, once we finished ordering we went to sit back down and realised one of that waitresses had given our table away to someone else (despite us already having sat down at this table). They made no offer to get those other people to move and as there were no more tables inside we had to sit outside?? It was 9° and we’d originally planned to sit inside to warm up a little bit. We had already paid for our food though so we decided to just sit outside. My friend went inside and asked where the toilet was and as she was walking towards it the waitress came over and just gave her our drinks to take outside, very weird as she was obviously on her way to the toilet and we were told our drinks would be brought to us. Once we got our food, we were disappointed AGAIN. The waitress also told us that we had to go back inside to get cutlery despite us being sat outside. There was half a spring onion sticking out of the pitta that hadn’t been chopped up, the avocado was just in really big and hard chunks and my friend even found some shell left on her egg. Not to mention we were only given HALF a pitta and it hadn’t even been toasted or warmed up. We had paid £35 for this and it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in...
Read moreI was super excited to try this branch of Miznon, but was pretty disappointed. First things first, the space is incredibly awkward and uninviting. We were placed at a tiny bench with uncomfortable bar stools and no space to put anything. The system of ordering at one til and then a person yelling out your name over loud music takes away from the ambience. There were quite a few staff members hovering around awkwardly.
Now to the food - we went at about 8pm and they were sold out of 2 things that we wanted, so we asked for their advice and we got the flattened potato, the “famous” cheeseburger pita and the hummus plate. The flattened potato is nice, but there wasn’t enough sauce on top of it so most of the time you’re eating plain boiled potato. Everything is packaged really awkwardly, but especially the potato, which comes wrapped in all this paper that presumably absorbs all the sauce. The cheeseburger pita was awkward to eat, some bites were all cheese, some were just meat, and aside from some thinly sliced tomato there isn’t much relief. The hummus plate was delicious and the pita bread here is fantastic - but for £12 it wasn’t really worth it.
Not many options in the way of drinks. Had a glass of white wine (the only one available) and it was really warm and acidic.
For the money we spent we were extremely underwhelmed. It’s a quick meal, with a high price tag relative to other places serving the...
