I would like to give a 4.5 out of 5, I did have very high expectations considering the reviews and they were very nearly all met. My husband and I went on a Wednesday evening with our toddler for a special occasion. The atmosphere was quite lovely, I would say fitting for a romantic/upscale evening with lovely decor, spotless settings, ethnic and tasteful background music. The staff was quite friendly and knowledgeable, I'm not that familiar with indian dining but I would have preferred them to be a little more attentive. For an example we had to ask/motion for someone twice because we wanted to order dessert and they hadn't come by to check on us etc. Which i wouldn't have even thought about if it had been a busy Friday night but we were only one of three tables there at the time so it was a bit confusing. Perhaps this is common in Indian dining though. They were very helpful when they did check on us and even had a kind word or two for our child which is always encouraging when you attempt to take a little one out to eat. We had the pompadons with chutney, tandoori chicken (appetizer), lamb shank josh (main) and jack fruit (main) which came with garlic naan and a side order of rice and then the jambor/ice cream (dessert). All of the dishes were excellent/very good, except neither of us especially liked the lamb shank sauce/curry but perhaps it's personal taste. We eat spicy food frequently so the level of heat was enjoyable but not at all off-putting, even for our toddler. Also all of the dishes were plated very attractively and looked impressive which is always nice. The prices were quite reasonable considering the lovely atmosphere and professional staff, and there's lots of little touches like lovely after dinner chocolates that are just thoughtful. You do have to pay for things like rice and frequently naan though so that's something to remember. Still a good value though I think and there's something for everyone's price point; a couple of the veg mains are under 10£ for example. We arrived just before 18:30 and didn't get finished until nearly 20:30, which was a bit late for our expectations, part of it may be related to the types of dishes we ordered but I do think part of it was in waiting for the staff to come by etc. however, that is my only minor complaint and overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone because the atmosphere was lovely, the food almost entirely delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. We will surely be...
Read moreI honestly thought we'd found a little gem of an Indian restaurant been there three times and had a really nice meal surprised by different dishes from the norm ,welcoming atmosphere and friendly attentive staff, the forth visit started off really well,Bhel Puri and non veg platter for starters, poppadoms, bottle of wine, and a Cobra. Then came the mains,King Prawn Moille,Chettinadu Chicken and a Sag Aloo with Pulao rice. That's when it all went pear shaped, firstly I had to ask the waitress to take away the Sag Aloo which could only be described as liquidised spinach with potato cubes,we decided not to have it changed as they said that's how they do it, the Chettinadu Chicken was no more than spicy tomato soup with very bland chicken chunks, and the same went for the Prawn Moille, runny watery sauce with frozen prawns that had not been defrosted properly before cooked and added to sauce, we very politely complained to the waitress and manager that the food was just not up to a required standard, we had dished up portions of the mains on our plates, and there was still three pieces of chicken and prawns left in our serving dish, which they offered to replace and cook us each, new dishes, our table was cleared. Unfortunately the final insult was having the same serving dishes replaced each with the same three pieces of chicken and three prawns just topped up with more thickened sauce, still not wishing to cause a scene in front of other customers I asked for the bill of what we had eaten and drank and that we would like to leave I actually paid the full amount £50 which they accepted without another word or sincere apology,...

What added an extra layer of charm to my evening was the choice of Hindi songs that played in the background. The carefully curated playlist enhanced the ambiance, creating an atmosphere that felt both lively and intimate. It's rare to find a place that pays attention not only to the palate but also to the soul, and Moksha managed to strike that perfect balance.
