Sweet Nibble Bakery — Restaurant in London

I've never had an experience as painful and frustraring as this and mainly on such a special day for me. How to start, after paying almost £150 for a small cake and a flan, it was impossible to contact this company they wouldn't reply emails, whatsapp, calls or any message for days and the day before I needed it, tracking order showed nothing so I tried again to reach them and finally they replied saying it would be delivered next morning between 7 to 10am so I felt relieved, just in case I was the first order I set my alarm at 7am to be ready to receive the delivery. Well this morning they woke me up by buzzing at 6:45am I was opening but they said the car was on the road so I had to come down to the street, jumping from the bed to open the street door they were 2 people waiting  carrying the cakes and no one bothered to bring the cakes up to mine, then they told me there is an extra £14 fee apart from delivery already paid that i was never informed before just because I live central London, I asked them to please send me an invoice with the details so I could know what I pay for detailed and they said "or you pay now or you can't have the cakes" Which really felt like extortion. I had to do the transfer while they were  complaining and rushing me saying they were getting late for the other deliveries when I attended them earlier than the time we arranged  and then after seeing that i was not able to carry the boxes alone they literally just left them on the floor of the entrance saying you will need to do two trips up and down. Also the boxes were so flimsy cartoon paper (when ordering a cake they always come in sturdy box and dry ice to keep freshness). The street door was broken and had to leave one cake at the entrance where it could be easily stolen or damaged while bringing carefully the other one up, I live on 5th floor. Once finally at home I saw on my phone misscalls and voice messages from 6:30am saying they were waiting in the car on the street for me to pick up the cakes and that i have 5 minutes to come and pick them up or they would leave. Of course I didn't realise of this, as while asleep my phone is in silence and was ready to get up at the arranged time. I can't believe they gave a service like this, paying a high price for the worse service ever.

Not communication and asking for more money at last minute (which I never receives written information for) Coming at a different time of the one arranged and being totally rude. Charging a £20 delivery when usully a good quality delivery from most bakeries is £4 and they come to your door and make sure the product in fresh and good condition in this case they do the delivery by themselves and they don't care about the costumers at all. Disrespecful actiude expecting  a woman to go and pick up 2 cakes alone from their car at 6:30am in a main road and saying or you do this or they leave with the cakes.

This is really dissapointing not value for money, product overpriced and terrible service just a nightmare when you want to celebrate. I wouldn't recommend Sweet Nibble Bakery to anyone, not even to my worse enemy, this situation almost made me cry I was just trying this place as many friends wanted to try as well for next celebrations but after this experience no one wants to repeat, at least respect is expected when supporting a company by being their costumer but only received disrespectful and dismissive service in return and...

Sweet Nibble made this amazing cake for my daughter’s birthday! We were so impressed with the appearance as we asked for a simple cake and a picture of my daughter’s favourite dog. The quality of the chocolate and vanilla flavours was excellent, moist and the perfect sweetness. We have ordered cakes and bread with Sweet Nibble before so we know we will have gourmet quality always. Sweet nibble bread and cakes are always a staple in our parties and gatherings. I couldn’t be happier that I chose Sweet Nibble for our wedding cake - I must admit I’m quite fussy when it comes to design & Araceli was absolutely fantastic. She explained kindly that some of my ideas might not work with the style of cake I had chosen, so she came up with some tweaks which made the cake even better than I could have imagined.
