Best spinach Panini Iâve ever had! Being a âhalf-vegetarianâ--no red meat, few chicken, yes for seafood, eggs and milk, just love vegetables and fruitsâI am always on my looking out for a light, appropriate and well balanced meal. Montparnasse has been in my London coffee may for a while. Today I went to Bupa Cromwell hospital for ultrasound test âyes what a shame for a foodie has gastro problem! Anyway after a starving morning I ducked in for a weekday brunch, what a spoil treat! Love the dĂ©corâsmall, cozy and vintage French style. Owner and waitress are so nice and friendly. However, best of all are the patisseries, and, a great selection of toasted sandwiches, from spinach or vegetarian to ham or chorizo, all freshly made with heart on site. With chunks of real spinach and pesto, melted cheese, served with a light leaf salad, so well balanced to die for! I am also told their croque monsieurs is worth to try, next time I promise to come with my husband and I believe this place will impress him. Coffee is worse than Aussie does though; milk was poorly frothed to bubble instead of microfoam. But who will blame French for...

In the summer it was an Instagrammer who got prioritised seating outside while we were waiting inside for a table to become available on the terrace. No acknowledgment, we just ended up seating inside the whole time. This time we were asked to leave our seats over a group that arrived 5 minutes after us 3, despite the fact that there was no other table available that could fit us! We ended up leaving, even after pointing out that we almost come every day when in London it didnât leave any empathy on even the permanent staff. Despite tipping them etc. all the time. Never left so disturbed and sad a breakfast placeâŠ.
Therefore if you looking for that âParisian being abused as a customer experienceâ, itâs the place to visit.
Pastries are authentic and nice, omelettes are made with canned mushrooms, so not...
Read moreTerrible owner and old customers are treated like nothing! My parents come here on a regular basis. I sometimes join them to have coffee here. This morning, I came here for some breakfast and was told to move away after I had ordered and sat down for 10 mins. I was told that the table was reserved for big families - but I was sat on a small table for two. It was also very quiet in the cafe with most of the tables empty. So i thought it was ridiculous and spoke to the owner. I donât think itâs fair for anyone to be sat down, served, and told to move away for nothing. I even said that I would be happy to move if there comes a large family. She was very rude and said I will not be welcomed here anymore. I never expected to be treated like this in Kensington and a place that we go to so often. Maybe business or customer loyalty doesnât matter to her.
Owner is aggressive and rude...
