I’ve been coming to Cote’s for many years, initially in their Westbourne grove branch as it was my local breakfast spot but have been coming to kensington over the past few years.

Upon having breakfast, I was surprised to see floor staff member Ula. I dont know Ula but i do know that has been here for years and is just amazing with both staff and customers, her work ethic is unmatched, service is impeccable and a kind human all around. As someone whom has worked in hospitality for 13 years and transitioned into restaurant operational development, i hope Cote’s Management can recognise and acknowledge her skill, dedication and work ethic that really does make or break this branch as she has made the experience each time i have come, through family and personal celebrations, bereavement and generally.

Ula is the standard of what it is to be in the hospitality industry and I hope she is given the recognition she deserves after all she has given year after year. Consistency being an element, it’s Ula’s character and integrity in the pride she holds for her job that shines through.

Whilst I am a local bystander/customer, I am able to see the outstanding work she does and person she is. Her service has determined my view of Cote’s as a brand and I hope she can go on to operational development or a managerial role in training whatever place there is for and if not, make one or you’re...

We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated straight away. We’d opted for the prix fixe menu and decided to do two courses as we only had an hour before going to the theatre. We ordered mains and a desert as we thought this would be quickest for us.

The service: We were greeted with glasses of sparkling wine as it was our anniversary which is where the good service ended. After this I would say the 4 or 5 staff members working were generally not very attentive. Which was surprising given there were maybe 5 covers outside and 5 inside. Took a while to give our order then once we finished the mains we were sat with the empty plates in front of us for maybe 20 minutes. We were then sat waiting for the deserts. I had to ask a member of staff if we could get the bill and the deserts. After half an hour of waiting the deserts arrived and we had to rush these before leaving.

The food: I got the chicken and my partner got the steak option. Both were underwhelming. The sauce the chicken was sat on top of had a skin to it so it looked like it had been sitting and was generally just not great. The steak was also fairly bland. We both got the blueberry sponge for desert which was fine.

Overall: Spent just over an hour in Côte Kensington and spent most of the time waiting for service and having...

An incredible dining experience from start to finish!

I had the pleasure of dining at Côte in Kensington with a group of friends, and I can honestly say it was a flawless evening. The food was absolutely outstanding — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Every course exceeded expectations, and there were fantastic options for everyone, including those with special dietary needs.

What truly made the experience exceptional was the incredible hospitality and customer service. A special thank you to Ula, Percrescy, and Amelia — they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the evening. Ula and Percrescy, in particular, were outstanding hosts, ensuring our group was well looked after and that all dietary requirements were carefully catered for.

We left feeling genuinely impressed and appreciated. It’s rare to come across such a great combination of food, service, and atmosphere — definitely a 10/10 and a well-deserved five-star rating. We’ll absolutely...

Very disappointing breakfast here. Went for breakfast as soon as we sat down there seemed to be a constant argument between the male and female waiter throughout our meal that made for quite a tense atmosphere . The food itself had issues too I ordered the poached salmon eggs with Benedict. The poached eggs were so over cooked they were boiled and when I asked for new ones the waiter replied “so you wanted the yolk runny? “ well in theory shouldn’t all poached eggs be runny? It was simply over cooked . The sauce was bland and just tasted of vinegar . Overall an unpleasant experience the cheek some London restaurants have of adding 12.5 percent service charge when they can’t even control their own wait staff to not argue with one another constantly . I understand restaurants can be stressful but this restaurant was bearly half full - there’s no excuses for constant public quarrelling in a low pressure environment ( if the restaurant was full then I’d understand somewhat) Won’t be returning that’s for sure.

I had an absolutely wonderful evening at Côte in Kensington. For starters, I went with calamari, seared scallops, crab maison, and the French onion soup — which was immaculate, rich, and perfectly savoury. For my main, I chose the salmon and swapped the truffle chips for a fresh salad — an excellent decision, as the seasoning was spot-on and every bite was perfect. Dessert was a highlight in itself — the crème caramel was silky, rich, and quickly became my absolute favourite, while the chocolate lava cake was indulgent and perfectly gooey in the centre. Later, I enjoyed a few cocktails, and the new flat white cocktail from their latest range was hands down my favourite. I also tried the “Passion in Paris,” which was equally delightful. The whole evening had a romantic charm, especially with the beautiful Kensington walkway just outside. A special thank you to Krish, who made the night truly memorable.

Edit: Recently popped in for lunch we shared salmon and calamari was nice. Also Order the monkfish was good. However the burger was absolutely terrible by far the worst burger I’ve eaten in long time. Very dry, hard, old meat and burned tasted like cardboard disgusting avoid it at all costs. I could only describe it as going out buying some budget supermarket pre made beef burgers slapping them on a grill with no seasoning then going off to watch a Netflix movie for about 1h30m then remembering to check on the burgers to see if there done yet. Compliments to the chef 🤣 Excellent full English breakfast everything was fresh and well prepared, the staff were very friendly and service was quick. Had extras sides of Boudin Noir and Field Mushrooms which complimented the breakfast nicely.
