I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nando's, and I must say, my evening took an unexpected turn – both in the washroom and at the table, thanks to the incredible Chloe!
Let's start with the culinary adventure. Chloe, our fabulous server, sprinkled our table with her charm hotter than Nando's Extra Hot sauce. From the get-go, her witty banter and infectious enthusiasm set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable dining experience. She wasn't just taking orders; she was conducting a symphony of flavors and fun.
Now, here's where the story takes an unexpected detour. Midway through my peri-peri feast, an emergency (of the bathroom variety) struck like a cheeky surprise. Panic ensued, and I made a beeline for the washroom faster than you can say "lemon and herb." Little did I know, Chloe was about to become my guardian angel in spicy situations.
I won't go into the gory details, but let's just say Chloe handled the situation with the grace of a salsa-dancing chicken. She not only maintained her composure but also managed to keep the table entertained with a playful quip about the unpredictability of life – and washrooms.

Read moreVery disappointed with the service yesterday, worst of all it was the manager Laura that let herself and her team down. From the outset, her demeanour was one of someone who didn't want to be there. She incorrectly input Corn on the Cob instead of Chips for my 3 year old's Nandinos order. When it arrived, I advised that it was impossible that I could have asked for Corn as he is allergic to it...her response was that as I had Corn on the brain I must have said it by accident. I was shocked at her response, rather than simply apologising she accused me of making an impossible mistake. My son is also allergic to peas and beans, amongst other things, but it was only Corn on my mind! When I pointed out that I could not make this error as I have dealt with his allergies since birth her sarcastic response was "Okay, I believe you", before walking away. I reported this to her colleagues Nimco and George who both apologised unreservedly for the error and for Laura's disgraceful and unprofessional behaviour. We visit Nandos 2-3 times a month as my son has (touch wood) never had a reaction there. Laura even had the audacity to tell me that I need to highlight my son's allergies whenever I visit...I think I know my own child's allergies and how to handle them thanks. Funnily enough, when the second order came out it was exactly the same! Once again Nimco had to intervene as clearly Laura could not get this simple message across to the chefs. By the time my son's order arrived (at the third time of asking) the rest of us had nearly finished, ruining his grandad's birthday.
