Nid Ting Thai — Restaurant in London

The waitress (owner?) was so offensive that we left before ordering food. My friend is allergic to soya. This is one of the allergens listed on the first page of their menu. When she asked for food recommendations the middle aged waitress laughed in a patronising way and said "Nothing". She then said: "well, if you are allergic to soya you should cook at home" i.e don't eat out (my friend often has Thai food without soya). When asked if there was nothing at all on the menu without soya she pointed at a dish which was pan-fried noodles and bean sprouts in soy sauce and said to my friend that she could have that without the soya. At this point we asked for the bill. I don't think there is a need to insult people who have allergies. Also the allergen is listed on the first page of their menu so they must know that some people have...

Disappointing Experience at Nid Ting Restaurant

I recently visited Nid Ting Restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. From the start, the service was subpar. We had to wait an inordinate amount of time just to receive our menus, and when we asked for them, the host seemed put off.

Things only got worse from there. When we asked about our food, the host became downright rude. But the final straw was when we decided to upgrade our portion size, realizing the initial serving was too small. To our surprise, our request was flat-out refused. Apparently they run out of rice after seeing them serve another costumer rice.

The combination of poor service, long wait times, and inflexible staff made for a disappointing dining experience. Unless they address these issues, I would not recommend Nid Ting...

The food was really good! The service was frustrating. Very slow and felt like we were interrupting the staff. Then it came to paying... We wanted to split the bill across a handful of cards. Apparently it was too busy to do that. The restaurant wasn't even full! Our party didn't all know each other so it bought a level of unnecessary awkwardness where we owed each other money for a the briefest time. The waitress then said that we better have cash for the tip. Err, that's if we're giving a tip. Disappointed, because the food was good. Would consider going back if I was in the area, but can't...
