This is an amazing park for so many reasons. It's a couple of minutes' walk from Upper Holloway, making it so convenient if you're getting a train soon. The playground is great, with so many great things to play on, but also just a nice place to sit and eat lunch, as it has great shade but also places to sit in the sun. It has a fantastic outdoor gym, which loads of machines, which can save you money going to an indoor gym and it's so fun to play on the machines too. It also has a skatepark, which is a great place to practise on your skateboard, and it may be fun if you have a small scooter, but I strongly don't recommend it for bikes!! It also has 2 good sized fields for dogs to run around in, making it a great place for dogs to be as it has separate places for kids and dogs, which I think was a very good decision, as many people might not want to have their kids running around with dogs, and some dog owners might want some separate space for their dog to just be.
My only complaint about this park is it's lack of good toilet infrastructure. There's one toilet in the building, but it has a faulty light. I think the council should put in some proper public toilets.
Overall, this park has something for everyone. Whether you just wanna get some exercise, or you want a nice spot to have lunch, or you want to walk your dog or run around, this park has it....
Read moreWhittington Park is a hidden gem in the heart of Holloway. This delightful green space offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, complete with charming amenities for all ages.
One of the highlights of our visit was the adorable Whittington Park Topiary Cat. This meticulously crafted sculpture is a must-see for any feline lover. It's a perfect spot for a photo opportunity and a great way to introduce children to the legend of Dick Whittington.
After our park adventures, we popped into the nearby Whiskers & Cream Cat Cafe. This cosy spot is a paradise for cat enthusiasts. We enjoyed delicious treats while cuddling with the friendly resident felines. It was the perfect way to end our day.
Overall, our visit to Whittington Park was fantastic. The park's peaceful atmosphere, combined with the delightful topiary cat and the charming cat cafe, made it a memorable experience. Highly...
Read moreThis is such a well kept park with one of the biggest kids play areas I’ve visited. They have the coolest outdoor water area - this sprinkles down so it’s more for running through than a wading pool.
There are a few teeter totters and slides, regular swings, baby swings, sand pits.
They also have an in closed football pitch and a skate park.
I saw a cafe but it wasn’t open - I’m assuming it’s closed down as the building looks under constructions.
Dogs are allowed but not in the childrens playground or...
