Nikki's Bakery — Restaurant in London

After ordering coffee and cake from surly and disinterested staff, it arrived on a plate that was dirty as was the cup and saucer. Upon complaining, the staff member apologised, but offered no refund. I asked if he was the manager and was told he was "out the back". No offer to get him, no real interest from the staff to provide a decent service. Certainly can't recommend this place and I won't go there again.

Update: To correct the inaccuracies from Homayoun below, saying I consumed the coffee and cake gives the impression I finished both. I certainly did not. I took a few pieces of the cake before noticing the plate was dirty. Furthermore, your staff offered to replace the plate only, not the cake or coffee. Why would i want to eat the remainder from another plate when it had already been soiled? Lastly, I had to ask for the refund, it was not offered.

I came to your cafe with the principle I like to support independent local business and was looking forward to enjoying what I ordering. The whole experience put me right off.

This could've been handled so much better by your staff and more importantly by you with the incorrect comments in your reply, which frankly says more about what's wrong with your establishment than...

Wow, besides being served raw chicken and the owner/manager arguing that it wasn’t raw - the customer service was appalling. His excuse was that “this is what organic chicken looks like” - which we cook all the time and know very well that’s not true!! He didn’t apologise or even offer to replace my meal with something else. We asked for a refund but of course he refused. He was extremely unprofessional and i would not recommend. He had taken the chicken back to the kitchen and when we asked him to bring it back out, the chicken was so warm and steaming in the Tupperware he brought it out in - he clearly put it back on to quickly cook! He denied that also as it’s clearly steaming in front of us. (And trust me the chicken was never that warm to begin with). Avoid at all costs - I can get past an accident of serving the food like that, but what I cannot get over is the way he handled the situation and the lack of customer service. He must really be hurting for that £7 he refused to...

One word: wow. We stumbled upon this cute cafe strolling around Chiswick and my first ever taste of their deliciousness was a birthday cake I was surprised with for my birthday in October. Two days ago, strolling around again we decided to go in for an afternoon munch and we were not disappointed. First of all our little dog was welcomed in so that was already a nice touch but then the atmosphere was super welcoming and inviting. The scent of cinnamon and fresh coffee was present which made our experience feel even more homely. We opted for the sandwiches although the full English looked enticing. Both our sandwiches were absolutely delicious and so were my cinnamon roll and my partner’s chocolate and orange cake. I also had a chocolate milkshake that was incredibly nice and my partner a delicious coffee. As we were walking out I had it in my head to leave a review because we felt well looked after and we enjoyed our time there tremendously. Highly recommend this...
