Honest Burgers Chiswick — Restaurant in London

The food and staff are great the only downside and reasons why is not a 5 stars is because when I went there(three times) the staff monopolised the two booth areas existing there. No matter if the place is empty they seems to don't like if you seat there.

My first time there I went with a friend place was fairy empty because we arrived after the rush hour on Sunday (let's say 1 hour and half before close) a male waiter served us no problems and very politely ask if we were alright there or could offer any other table. And believe me he was faultless even excellent manners to ask us and did not make a fuss we sat there.

The second time I went alone and again no many people the blonde lady who come to serve me asked me to move to another table which was isolated and a couple would be facing me eating which when you alone is kind of uncomfortable you want to eat in peace. I said I was fine there then she insisted and asked again to move because more people may come but again a very cold night weekday also after she insisting i then noticed on my opposite side has staff belongs(i assuming as if was costumers they would not keep in there), and considering there, inside the restaurant, was 2 groups of 3 and a couple and since booth are much more comfy and they were sat in another place I can just imagine they have been asked to move as well (again both booth empty). So I felt she was too pushy i stood up she asked me if I now prefer take away and I said no and I just left (went elsewhere).

The third time a lady with curly hair mixed race again asked me if I wish to move(at that point I was ready for the question) and after the previous time when I left, I've to stand my grounds and I've said no I'm fine here( and again Sunday night... cold... not many people around) but she did not push me to move again she gave excellent services.

Food is good don't get me wrong but seems they don't really want us to seat in those booth area to be honest, and perhaps that's the reason the place is not as full as could potentially be, because people who goes there they cannot choose where to seat and if they do they are asked to move and then they move and until the end of their meal they will see the area where they wanted to seat is permanently empty (apart some people who are awaiting their take away will seat there for a few minutes while waiting to collect their food)and if go to the same place a few times and this reoccurring, customers will notice and will not feel welcome no matter how nice the person who...

I'm disappointed with the service I received on the 24/05/2022 at the branch in Chiswick. My friend and I went and ordered two meals one with bacon and one without which was expressed explicitly to the waiting staff however due to the waiters incompetence gave us the wrong order which was a simple confusion as he handed us the wrong plates all we had to was swap them over however the waiter explained to me mine had no bacon which it did quite obviously and then took my dish back it came back within minutes so to me felt like the bacon had just been scraped off, I questioned this and was given this rubbish explanation over burgers that had been pre-ordered at this point I believed him however my burger was meant to be cooked medium well and half way through realised it was well done so that to me made me certain he had just scraped off the bacon from the original burger he gave me and had not given me a fresh burger as it wasn't hot and neither were my chips. My friend on the other hand had ordered hers well done and with bacon and it came medium well without the bacon which again was the waiters fault. He brought her food over when she realised told him and he took it back, then brought her food over the 2nd time without the bacon which she explained again was incorrect and he made a comment as he walking back to the kitchen "Now she wants bacon" this waiter was really useless he didn't even take accountability for the many mistakes he made which was annoying and we only got a £1 discount off for the one sauce dip which is just ridiculous. I will never be coming back to this...

I’ve been coming to Honest Burger for a while and have always enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Burger. However, my recent visit to the Chiswick branch was a real disappointment.

The chicken was completely different from what I’ve always had before. In the past, the chicken breast was thick, juicy, and had a crispy, substantial coating. This time, the fillet was thin, and the coating was barely there, just a light layer that felt like plain flour, lacking the crunchy texture I expected.

When I asked about it, I was told the recipe had changed. That may be true, but there was no mention of this anywhere on the menu, and the name and description were exactly the same as before. The photo on the website still shows the old, much better version, so this was misleading.

Even after expressing my disappointment, no one offered to replace the burger or adjust the bill. I paid full price for something I didn’t enjoy and that wasn’t what I thought I was ordering.

If Honest Burger decides to change a recipe so drastically, they should update the menu description or at least inform customers, otherwise it feels like false...
