Popped in today with my brother and we had a sudden unforeseen which made nearly cancel our order. However, the staff was super comprehensive and served us in the fastest time possible. The chef also agreed on serving a side off-menu, thank you! Great value too. One star off only because they forgot to bring salt and pepper which I took from another empty table and brought us the wrong juice (was still delish). Overall would deffo recommend!!

What a cool place for coffee and healthy food. Past 2 years I have been walking past this place but never went inside. Just 2 days ago I went there with a friend. Amazing coffee! I also had Avocado scramble eggs. Very tastylicious! I was told the eggs were from Cornwall. I was rest assured that chickens didn’t fly into London 🙈😁.. Cool friendly staff with a smile to die for.. I highly recommend this place.

Ate brunch at No 40 Cafe on Saturday morning. I had a latte and the sausage sandwich, Delia had a flat white and granola, Ann had Americano and the veggie sandwich. All were really good and generous. Ann and I ended up sharing. The staff were fab, funny and friendly. Our fellow customers who were sat outside were great sports too and up for a giggle.

Regrettably, our initial visit for coffee (and pastries!) was underwhelming. Lackluster looking, stale croissants and lukewarm coffee. Hmm! Will return to try more breakfast options and hope to update this review to a better one. A good start would be to replace the production-line pastries, which can be bought for a third of the price 100 metres away in Sainsburys or at Gregg's. The coffee needs to be better. White Hart Lane has been crying out for a good Café for many years, let's hope the recent additions rise to the occasion or inspire others to do better. If you like then please 👍 .

What a delight!

No40 is a relaxed, pleasant, down-to-earth neighbourhood coffee shop and bistro. It serves great organic coffee, light bites and delicious snacks during the day. (I haven't been in the evening.) It has free WiFi. The decor, tables and chairs are excellent.

It is owned and run by Anna, everything in it has her signature. A relief frankly that it isn't trying to be some hipster antipodean joint with sour coffee like so many hereabouts! It is honest, sociable and unpretentious.

It is also dog friendly :-) Otis was very welcome and happy to be there.

Mortlake needs more...

We came here for dinner and absolutely loved it. Everything was cooked perfectly. I had the steak with a a lovely creamy mash and perfectly sweet tomatoes. The steak was well cooked. The Halloumi salad with strawberries was really tasty and fresh. The starters were wonderful. Fresh figs wrapped in Parma Ham. A true delight. And the mozzarella with aubergine was equally tasty. The only thing I will say is that I would love a couple of craft beer choices as I don't drink Peroni due to its poor quality and there was not enough choices for the main courses. That's all easily...
