This, to be fair, is just a tomb where two people have been laid to rest, but the look and design is nothing I have ever seen as a tomb anywhere before.
It is fairly striking in it's appearance, as it has an Arabic travel tent look, that encapsulates the character of the owner Sir Richard Burton, who was definitely a character in himself and someone worth reading more about in detail.

A wonderfully bizarre monument to the Victorian eccentric explorer and polyglot, tucked away behind an RC church in Mortlake. The sides of the tent were a bit mossy and damp looking which is a bit sad. I hope there's a society involved in it's preservation. There's also a secret to be discovered if you look thoroughly at the tomb... The rest of the graveyard is quirky, peaceful and intimate. Definitely worth a at least a few minutes...
