We were struggling to find a place last night as everywhere had been full of bookings. Then put into Google Italian places in Uxbridge. Going this little gem, It’s a small place at the start of the high street. It’s got a nice feel to the venue. Everyone there were above there 20’s which is not a bad thing. I loved the wood tables went well with the rustic look. The food was actually really good and they cater for gluten free. Starters: prawns in butter garlic sauce gluten free and fired calamari. Prawns were really good, nothing much to add I enjoyed the meal. Fried calamari wasn’t as great as what was expected. It didn’t have the church which we have been accustom to feeling. It was rather soft. Tasted good tho Dinner: gluten free pizza and pasta aribeatta (apologises for the spelling) pizza was really good and pasta was simple but delicious. We did say we will be coming back for the food. The only downside to this establishment was the smell. We sat in the corner of restaurant and after around 20 minutes a strong smell of toilet sewage was coming from upstairs. We found out we were directly below the toilets. The smell was bearable and once the food came it masked the smell but at times it became off putting when there was nothing to mask the smell.

What a pleasant 10 years anniversary dinner! Thank you Jacob and Alex for making us feel so welcome. I really hope that one day you will post on your website that you are LGBTQ+ friendly. We have recently moved from Ealing, which area I personally love a lot. Uxbridge is new to us and we feel a bit uncertain of where to go. I have chosen your restaurant as I am always one to support family business and I am loyal when I feel welcomed. You both made our evening a very pleasant one. The food was amazing and the wine was lovely. My wife had Risotto from the specials and I had pasta with salmon, equally mouth-watering and fresh. What is worth mentioning, was the fact that calmari were fresh and soft- a starter that certainly set the tone. We were so pleased that we pledged to come back the next day for the dessert as the main course was a large portion and left us with no space in our stomachs! Once again, thank you Alex and Jacob, you have been very courteous, friendly and efficient. Keep it up!

Great experience. I really loved being at nana Rosa. It was a lovely and cosy little restaurant and staff are very friendly. Unfortunately not all the food was great. We ordered garlic butter prawns, stuffed mushroom, and bruschetta for starters which was really good. But my husband ordered the the pizza for mains and did not really like it as it was just nan bread with a thin spread of sauce and blotches of mozzarella on it. I ordered the salmon pasta which I really enjoyed. But my daughter had the spaghetti and it could have been better she barely ate any and she likes spaghetti. We also had some tirimasu and limonella cheesecake they were both very nice, except for the crust on my cheesecake did taste a little off. My daughter had strawberry ice-cream which was exquisite and she really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back and try some other things from their menu.šŸ‘

Birthday celebration or disappointment, that didn’t even deserve 3 stars.

UPDATE- reply to the owners comment: I did leave a comment when making a booking that it was a birthday celebration. No changes or additional requests were made whatsoever, food was preordered as requested by your restaurant. The review might be damaging but it’s a true reflection of service we received. And don’t try to tell me how I feel about the experience in your restaurant, I think I know best how I feel. My reviews are low rated because I only rate negative experiences, I don’t have the time to rate positive ones like every other normal person who has a life. Be glad you got two stars and not one like the rest of them. STOP ACCUSING YOUR CUSTOMERS WITHOUT CHECKING THE FACTS!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: All I can say is that I have dined in Nona Rosa many times before, last time before yesterday was a disappointment too, as I was served chicken that was raw inside. I thought I’ll give them another opportunity yesterday for my birthday dinner. It was another disappointment. Food was only ok, but nothing exceptional. Salmon was quite plain and was supposed to be served with risotto however it was served with some weird rice, definitely wasn’t risotto as I have had it before. And towards the end staff started accusing my guests that they said the kids didn’t want their ice cream even though they were told to bring it with desserts for adults. I think the person who did that was surprisingly a manager as well, he needs some customer service training as it wasn’t my guests fault that he didn’t understand what they said. Don’t start accusing your customers without asking first, that was just abysmal. And to top it all off, they didn’t even wish me happy birthday even though in special requests I said it was a birthday celebration. And don’t get me wrong I wasn’t expecting for them to sing me or anything like that, but to wish someone a happy birthday costs nothing, or a 0.25p candle on the cake would have been nice or just a happy birthday written on the dessert. I have celebrated my birthday in many different restaurants throughout the years and this was the first one that didn’t do anything for it, literally nothing. And then to serve us a bill that included 12,5% service charge, it wasn’t even worth 5%. I’m regretting paying it at all, over Ā£50 tip for a disappointment. And the total bill was almost Ā£500. I’m definitely not going back there again, and will not be recommending...

So disappointed in the managers reaction to us yesterday. My partner and I had a bad experience before coming to the restaurant. We ordered starters everything was delicious. Went outside to talk and got told not to bring our conversation into the restaurant. We were shocked and upset by the comments. After paying for the bill my partner asked the manager why he said that. The manager said people in the restaurant could hear us talking, he then went on to say the staff from next door complained about us. When we left we went to apologise to the staff next door. They had no idea what we were talking about. The manager from Nonna Rosa came in and then said the ladies on the table next to us were complaining. This was another made up lie. They ladies next to us were fine and very polite. We were not loud in the restaurant and took our conversation outside. I think he thought we were going to run off without paying or something because he just kept making things up about us and kept changing his story. He then said he is also the manager of the bar next door- yet it was obvious the staff did not know who he was. It feels like he just did not like the look of us. Completely ruined our evening when this had been my favourite restaurant for so long. Such a shame. Also no COVID rules in place, people are sitting right next to each other. Even if my voice did project which I know it does, we were talking amongst ourselves, we were not aggressive, rude or impolite to anyone. I was really happy to be taking my fiance to my favourite restaurant. Absolutely hurt by the constant lies and treatment of the manager, if that...

We went for dinner they charged £12 for a prawn and avocado salad with Marie rose sauce there were only about 7 prawns in it small half avocado no bread or anything very disappointing and not worth the money. Main course was great but just as we were going to eat it we were plunged in to darkness could not see to eat so they could sing happy birthday to another table which is a nice thing to do but think about your other customers as well. This happened twice. The waitresses attitudes were not great felt like a bit of an inconvenience to them .Was offered a free dessert as mentioned about the starter which was good, but when I came to pay the bill the rude attitude of staff was back because questions were asked and when asked them to take the discreanary service charge of the bill as we did not think the service was worth it the waitress asked why and questioned me clearly thought we should pay it and does not realise its up to the customer and not the staff. Asked to speak to manager she said she was for upstairs and then said she would go get him, never arrived and as we went down the stairs the waitress was talking and moaning to another one about us it was very clear because she looked up and shut up straight away. Manager was spoken to and paid bill with him. He apologised and said he would retrain staff, will that be enough they clearly think they are way to good already when they are not. The manager was nice and will add we have been before and the staff have been excellent, but where...
