Creams Cafe Uxbridge — Restaurant in London

####Mixed our order then blamed us for it. Told us "don't you check your food before eating it?"####

There were nine of us, sitting at table 12, amongst our orders there were two crepes ordered, one strawberry indulgent and one with bananas.

Rostyn Butt brought in the first crepe, unsure which one this was banana one or the indulgent one, we asked Rostyn, he claimed this one is the banana one, we asked if he was sure, he said yes the bananas are inside.

Later Rostyn brought in the second but this one had bananas on the side, confused we asked Rostyn, "how come this one has bananas? You said the other one was the one with bananas?" Rostyn apologised and said that he made an error and thought the other one was the one with bananas.

He saw we were irate because the person who wanted bananas ended up without, and the one that didn’t want ended with. Rostyn accepted his error and offered to take the indulgent one and have it remade, giving the bananas one to the right person.

Waiting for the second one, 10min later, Tariq Clarke approached us huffing and puffing with the old one unmade and says. “I came to ask what’s the problem?”. confused, I said "what do you mean?"

Tariq continued, "well, I don’t know what’s wrong with your order, so I came here to ask why you want another one?"

As I tried to explain, he kept speaking over us. Frustrated, I asked him to allow me to talk and then explained the entire situation again to him, and that his colleague offered to exchange it. Tariq after having heard the explanation shockingly said “let me say something, if you have 3 orders for crepes on the table, would you not check your own food before you eat it?”, we couldn't believe he just said that, I told him that his attitude and words were unacceptable and just blatantly rude, after I just explained the entire situation to him, he should have realised that if it wasn’t a for your colleague Rostyn, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Plus he was the one who offered to have it remade, Tariq then went further saying “we don’t remake food for anyone, and like I said you should check your food before you eat it”.

Maybe he was expecting us to now eat it cold? We couldn't believe it. He just stood there irate, behaving as if it was our fault, insinuating that we are dumb enough to not be checking our food. There we many staring at us as if we are troublesome individuals, the entire scene was quite humiliating, we demanded to see the manager.

Kamal the general manager approached us and I again explained everything to him, although he agreed what Tariq did was unacceptable, and that he would ensure that Tariq is provided the right training. He offered to make another one, but kept trying to defend Tariq's words and making assumptions about what his staff member said or his body language. Failing to understand that he had nine upset customers saying how rude Tariq had been, by that time our appetite was gone and we simply told him that we would rather just take a refund on that one and leave, this was humiliating enough. My wife had nothing, kids lost their appetite, I left my food and we all left within minutes.

As I was leaving Kamal called me and told me that he had other complaints abour Tariq from other customers, so my brother asked him why is he still here then dealing with customers? Kamal didn't have much to say, but stressed that this was the better branch out of Southall and Slough, I disagreed.

I have to say that we have visited the Slough branch and Southall branch, but never have we ever been treated in this manner by any staff member, it was most certainly one of the most humiliating scenes we had in a restaurant.

First Review

I have been to a few dessert places and not many is as good as this for several reasons. Firstly, I would like to commend the staff working there for their unbelievable ability in understanding my needs and request on every occasion I have visited there over a 2 year period. The presentation has always been perfect for me as I have requested, the food is great, the service from the staff is alway to a very high standard and have gone above and beyond on several occasions. I just want to thank you all for making my visits a good experience and I would recommend anyone to visit this branch.

Second Review

I decided to do a second review simply because I found this experience to be extremely thoughtful and tailored. I was unable to decide what to get because the menu simply didn't have was I like as a person, I decided to try to make my own. I showed Zuzanna a picture of something I had before and she used that a the base of what I like and came up with very creative, well thought of, and what appears in eyes a personal experience as it was made and designed to my liking. I also would like to add that both Shweta and Zuzanna was extremely polite, helpful, caring and provide me with an experience I would never forget. I will certainly visit the shop again in the future and would highly recommend...

I went into creams and ordered a ferrorche milkshake regular and was really looking forward to trying the popcorn chicken waffle. The milkshake was made well and was handed over to me at the counter. Whilst waiting the asian lady was making the chicken waffle. To my shock another lady remove the chicken waffle once made with her bare hands, not wearing any blue gloves like the rest. I felt absolutely sick and discusted! When I asked them why was the waffle touched and tampered with bare handed they laughed and said it was the process and this is what the manager wants. I was totally sickened and shocked. When the manager approached me at the till, I asked how this was the procedure - to lift a waffle then stick fingers in it before it is being cut by the other lady with gloves was the procedure?!!!! He ignored me and said he will exchange for a milkshake. I refused the milkshake and requested a refund which eventually he did back on my card.
