Me and my partner visited this restaurant on 14.02.25 for valentines day. I had previously booked a table a month prior to visiting and was absolutely disgusted by our experience on the day. There was a queue that went from the door all the way round to the side of the building and we waited an hour to get to the front. Our table was booked for 10:30pm and by the time we reached the front it was 11:30pm. We was told that regardless of the wait and the reservation, we would still be seen and seated. When we got to the door staff had come outside and told the security that nobody else was to be seated as there was an issue in the kitchen and there would be no food. This was extremely disappointing as we went there to celebrate valentines and to have a meal. So after waiting an hour in the freezing cold, there was no point what so ever! My partner has a health condition that makes being in the cold 10x worse and when expressed thus to staff, they did not care. There was no empathy at all and the way they went about it was repulsive. Baring in mind they had not told anyone else in the back of the queue that there was no food and people was still queueing in the hopes of being able to eat. I had expressed that the deposit be refunded back regardless as it was a complete waste. They accommodated this but was going to leave it at that. After countless discussions and arguing, we asked that we be compensated and they agreed to a glass of prosecco. We did not want to waste the day away so we still went in and was seated even if it was to just have a drink. In the end we was then told we could order food which makes no sense what so ever. Speaking to the manager we expressed our frustration and although he was not going to do anything about it and was being very tight; my partner convinced him to give us some chips on the house along with a large mixed grill that we paid for. Whilst eating the food, our chicken was raw and had all blood throughout it! Absolutely disgusting! They took it back to the kitchen and we was told that £20 be taken off of the bill and was given another glass of proseco free of charge. When paying the bill, they hadn't taken the money off but we had explained that it would be deducted and after realising they did remove it. Security on the door was very rude and obnoxious, one of them even told the people behind us "to watch himself and to have respect" but he wasn't being rude at all, he was simply just expressing his frustration of having to wait an hour to not even eat as we all felt aswell. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the mannerism was very bad. Please people, do not book with restaurant like this if you see it on tiktok or think it would be a nice experience because it is completely the opposite! They also state that there is 2 separate parts if the restaurant being the main restaurant and the outside parlour fir the sheisha, the door that connects these two elements is always open so the restaurant is always filled with smoke from the putside section, this isn't ideal at all and music is way too loud to be able to have any sort of conversation with those at the table. You'd be better off going to a kebab shop than here. Would not recommend to anyone and definitely will not be going back at all!...
Read moreI recently visited Nova Park Royal for my 21st birthday celebration. Due to the amount of the people attending we had to pre order and pay £180 up front for a deposit. This was all fine as it meant they had our orders and the bare minimum they had to do was just check on our table, ask if we wanted anymore drinks and bring over the food. To my surprise, this did not happen. Considering there was not much for the waiters to do in terms of catering for our table, the service was absolutely poor. Our table was completely neglected, from asking if we wanted drinks to clearing our table this was not done. We had to ask on multiple occasions for our table to be cleared after an hour of waiting in which they then decided to ask if we wanted our mains? In terms of drinks we had to literally quickly grab a waiters attention so that we could order a drink; they didn’t ask the rest of the table if they wanted anything to drink they just walked off and took ages to bring the drinks out. I was really let down considering I was celebrating my birthday meal with my family and I expected A LOT better from a well known restaurant. My family came from different areas of London, we travelled a long way expecting to have a great time just to be let down by how terrible the service was. Not only this, we all noticed all the tables around us in our section were treated to a good enough standard with the waiters regularly at their service, however me and my family felt singled out due to being ignored and forgotten about. Everytime we asked a waiter to do something ie ask for drinks or ask for the bill, they got distracted and did something for someone else instead. We also paid £20 extra for bringing our own cake, in which we had to ask multiple times for the table to be cleared and for the cake to be brought out because they genuinely just kept forgetting about us. I understand it was a busy Saturday, but that’s not an excuse for our table to be the only one that was disregarded. When the cake was finally brought out, they didn’t even sing happy birthday to myself they kind of just put the cake down on the table and left - this was not the same for any of the other tables they made sure to sing them happy birthday and provide a good service especially considering we had to pay for it. When asked to remove the service charge the waiter didn’t even try to ask how they could improve for next time he just got in a mood and threw the receipt down on the table. I am honestly not one to complain but the service we had received was so shocking I had to speak to the manager. It genuinely ruined my birthday celebration and even though the manager said next time we return we can get 50% off I never want to return back to that restaurant after all of this; it really upset me as we were the only ones that were treated...
Read moreWhen I have a bad experience, I usually give the benefit of the doubt and refrain from leaving negative feedback. However, this time, it was so disastrous that I feel obligated to warn others who, like me, might be seeking a special venue for an important occasion. Unfortunately, they completely ruined mine.
I had booked in advance for my husband’s birthday after reading positive reviews about the food and atmosphere, but I now seriously question the authenticity of those reviews. I emailed the venue beforehand to request some information but never received a reply. Upon arrival, the staff were polite but somewhat indifferent. I had specifically reserved a table in the Upper Nova section, only to find it was closed that evening. There was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion feel special.
While the atmosphere was pleasant and the decor thoughtfully arranged, the food was a major disappointment, especially given the exorbitant prices. I don’t mind paying for quality, but the dishes we received fell shockingly short. We ordered teriyaki salmon and chicken curry, and both were complete disasters. The portions were tiny, the presentation uninspired, and the quality appalling. My salmon was horrendously overcooked, with burnt edges that made it almost inedible. Cooking salmon is not difficult, yet they managed to ruin it. My husband’s dish was equally disappointing—bland, flavourless, and utterly forgettable. The only items that were passable were the maki rolls and gyoza, which, while acceptable, were far from impressive.
If you’re looking for a lively atmosphere with shisha, this place might suffice. However, if you’re planning a special occasion or hoping for excellent food, avoid this place entirely. Don’t expect any special attention to your event, either.
I was deeply disappointed, and my husband—who is usually easygoing and enjoys most meals—barely touched his food. They completely ruined what was meant to be a surprise celebration. I will never return, and I strongly recommend seeking out family-run establishments or experienced venues instead. This restaurant lacks expertise, and the young, inexperienced staff are ill-equipped to provide the quality of service or dining experience one would expect...
