Old Mill Public House — Restaurant in London

Having gigged at the pub last night, we went back today on our first day iff in months to sample the roast dinners that had been mentioned to us. Oh my god... if you like a nice roast dinner - you need to visit The Old Mill. We went for the regular £10.50 beef option and only just managed to finish it. It was beautiful. There is a larger one available for £15 but it's huge! Lovely and very professional management and staff, can't wait to come back there again soon for work and/or pleasure.

Look at that Sunday Roast! Lamb at the front (with mint sauce offered), beef behind (with mustard and horseradish offered). The beef was beautifully pink in the centre. Can't remember the price but it was v. reasonable.

A good variety of beers. The bar is a bit 'dusty', but what do you expect in a listed building!

It has a great beer garden out the back, covered in one part, but it was too cold that...

Best pub in and around Winn's Common. By a country mile. Funnily enough, it has the feel of a country pub, not a city pub. Maybe it's the premises, sitting in the shadow of a mill, or maybe it's the absence of televisions, putting the emphasis on conversation to provide the atmosphere. And pretty much guaranteed good tunes from the juke box, from the friendly and music savvy...
