One of the workers, a man with black hair and a beard, medium height, followed me out of the store, stood in front of me, intimidated me and wouldn't let me leave westfield all because i supposedly took a photo of him. This man was rude and disrespectful to me because I told him that the panini he made me was burnt. I came in and told him I didn't want to be a burden about it because I've worked in customer service and I don't want to be that annoying customer that won't stop complaining but could you please just put the panini in for 30 seconds less? He starts giving me attitude and saying have you ever been here before, this is what it looks like and this is what it tastes like, he's screaming over me when i'm trying to speak telling me this is what it always looks like, his colleague has to step in, and all while she is trying to deescalate and make me another panini, he is talking about me to his other colleagues and calling me names when I'm still there and can hear him. I went back in later on to take a picture of the MENU, it is not my fault that 2 hours later he was still on the till and menu is above him. when i left he chased me out, stood in front of me, tried to grab my phone from my hands, I told him he needs to get out of my way and tried to pass him, and he side stepped and blocked my path. I did it again trying to get to the escalators and he side stepped in front of the escalators trying to stop me from leaving, attempted to grab my phone again and told me 'delete that photo of me right now' without even asking if that's what I took a photo of, I said if he has an issue he needs to call the police but I'm not showing him my phone and i'm leaving, this is when he finally let me leave. I don't know what type of people you're hiring but if your staff can't deal with a BASIC complaint, especially when I went in being nice about it, then they either need to be fired or you need to provide anger management classes. because that behaviour was so unacceptable and scary for me to experience as a young woman. No one should be subject to that type of insane and...
Read moreThe first Ole and Steen I went to was in Oxford Street and I instantly loved the ambiance of the coffee shop, along with the large round tables for when I do my work... However I did notice the food and coffee were priced higher than your typical coffee shop. I began to visit this branch in Westfield as it is both closer to home, and is a good stop off point between my connecting trains during my commute back from work. The standard of food and coffee is far better than any of the competitors and the customer experience I get from here is much better than any other competitor I visit. Not only because of the ambiance and convenience (lighting, colour schemes, candles, large tables, variety of workstations etc), but particularly the staff in the Westfield branch. The staff are always nice and they remember me everytime I visit. Remembering my order and at times making my favorite Flat White while I am still looking at the cakes by the window. My experience is always consistently good and I am shocked to see some of the comments below as they are not a true reflection of this place at all. I work in Learning and Development - upskilling employees on the importance of customer service and customer experience, so hopefully my opinion holds some weight. whether it is simply cleaning the tables nearby, the staff will always smile and be positive towards me. There is free lemon water and glasses for customers to use as they please, the porcelain sets give a feeling of class, and the food / cakes are unique. Most importantly the...
Read moreI came to down here this morning I ordered the toast with avocado lovely recommendation by the till staff and she suggested I should try some smoked salmon with that discussion completely forgot to state that I would like the eggs well done.
Having waited 15-minutes of my food, when it finally came I was surprised that I had forgotten to ask for my eggs to be well done. I kindly ask the lady that bought over my dish if she could ask for the eggs to be changed, She replied of course, and didn't return for a shocking 20-minutes. AS I waited my coffee got cold therefore I had to ask for hot milk to be added, then spoke to another member of staff regarding my dish. He kindly said it should be out soon sorry for the wait.
finally my food did arrived it was by the chef herself and she said to me that she will not be changing my eggs because it wasn't told to her in the beginning therefore I had to eat the eggs as they were. I was shocked by her approach and her lack of consideration and compassion, I tried to eat the eggs but I just couldn't eat them and left them on the side I ate the toast and drink my coffee then left I will not be dining here again.
I've gone to restaurants before where I've asked for my eggs to be well done if this was not mentioned in the beginning, for example on the menu and its has never...
