Paradise Romford — Restaurant in London

I made an order on just eat and noticed the order time kept being pushed back. So I called the resturant to be told they are very busy and will get to my order when they can. After the order getting pushed back another couple of times I called back, to be told the same thing. I said that I'd like an eta when they investigated my order I was told they didn't have the food I'd ordered (an hour and a half ago). If I hadn't had pushed for more information I wouldn't have been told that. They offered me alternatives which I didn't want and I asked them to cancel my order and said that I was very disappointed after the long wait and to be told they didnt even have what I ordered. Half hour after this call the resturant still hadn't cancelled my order and issued my refund... I'd contacted them to be told they were busy that and would cancel my order once things calmed down. In the end I called just eat, I had to go through their partners customer service and luckily spoke to someone who investigated and cancelled my order. I have been a regular at this resturant and have waited over an hour for food sitting in when its been busy and have experienced late food on just eat, I have been patient and I like to support local business... but this was the final straw. I will not be returning to Paradise, I will not be recommending them as I have in the past. The customer service is no where near up to standard and they are clearly under staffed and unprepared for busy times and it's the customer's who suffer...

I'm absolutely livid about my experience at this restaurant! The staff were blatantly racist towards gypsies ,turning us away just because of who we are. They had the audacity to lie about being fully booked when the place was completely empty! This is beyond unacceptable! How can they think it's okay to treat people like this? It’s infuriating to witness such blatant discrimination in a so-called establishment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant at all costs! They need to be held accountable for their disgusting behavior!

I appreciate your response, but it's hard to believe you had reserved signs on every table when I had actually walked in and saw no signs on any of the tables. It seems like there was a lack of honesty in your explanation, and that’s really disappointing. I don’t think it’s fair to turn people away based on assumptions or looks, especially when there were clear empty tables with no signs on or any parties being held, I also want to point out that I called the restaurant after being declined in person and they specifically told me we could walk in not knowing it was us. It’s really frustrating to be turned away in person after getting that confirmation over the phone just after being declined. This kind of miscommunication just adds to the disappointment.

Lovely family run restaurant with an extensive assortment of dishes to choose from the detailed menu list. Originally had my mind set on some Oxtail, but unfortunately it was not available at the time due to high demand. My alternative did not disappoint and was a great meal that left me full from the generous portions. For starters, the Chicken wings in Jerk sauce hit the spot and got the taste buds in a frenzy, followed by a sweet side portion of plantain fresh and dried from the fryer. My original choice for the starter was the boneless Jerk chicken, stuffed in fried dumpling but again this was not available. I sat in for dinner with 2 friends, and one thing that was commonly noticed was the influx of takeaway orders from customers and uber delivery drivers, this place is popular! My main meal consisted of Akee and Salt Fish served with Rice and Peas (other rice options are available), coselaw, fried plantin and salad. Tasted so so good and it went down nice, again beautifully presented generous portions, no skimping at this restaurant! Also to mention, their drinks menu which has a great selection of a variety of beverages. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and provided excellent customer service throughout. I would definitely visit again as I'm certainly sure their Oxtail will go...
