Its a nice and neat little place you can go to if you want to learn about the history about romford as well as hornchurch and havering. Although the place is pretty small, they were kind enough to give me a mini tour and tell me what parts i was allowed to take photos of and what ones i wasnt. I liked the stuff they showed such as the miniature models and the different types of coins or shillings with facts of how people used them back then. There was some stuff you was allowed to interact with like the hand cuff/locks, the roman armour and shield, the puzzle of the old map of romford/kent etc. Nice place to check out if...
Read moreSuch a lovely little museum with incredibly kind and helpful staff! I visited to research historic photos of Romford for my geography NEA, and the staff went above and beyond, providing me with so much information and even a few little goodies. It truly feels like a hidden gem!
If you ever find yourself in Romford and are looking for something to do, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s an underrated spot that gives you a real glimpse into Romford’s past.
