Parlay E18 (Venue Hire) — Restaurant in London

I don't even know where to begin with this one. I attended an adult birthday party here, which was abysmal in its organization. Felt like a kiddies disorganised party with the many kids running amok. Having the event at this location added salt to the already painful injury.

You had to pay for your own food at the party, a practice that I still don't understand or appreciate. If you can't feed your guests, then don't host a party. The venue say they offer hearty cuisine, but it's more like heartache cuisine. The food was appalling. They ask you to order via a QR code, which gives the impression that they're organized, but no, it's quite the opposite. They had only one person doubling as cook and server. The food that my friend and I ordered should have taken no longer than 20 minutes max, but we waited for almost an hour and half and even then my friend had to literally walk to the kitchen to find out what's going on and then she discovered the chef was multitasking alone and had even forgotten about our order. When he eventually served, I couldn't believe what he served. Mine looked like dog vomit, and my friend's looked somewhat like food, but both our dishes were inedible. We had to abandon it and went elsewhere to eat and it was already close to 10:40pm at this time. I was 'hangry'. I noticed some other guests struggled with their food too. Then the cocktails 🍸 were like £10 each and not so great either for it to be that pricey.

I felt so disappointed that I thought taking photos wasn't even worth my phone memory. Let's just say, I shall not be visiting this place ever again nor recommending to anyone. You visit at your own peril. If you visit and you like it there, you either have set your bar of satisfaction to the lowest or they've improved.

And this is why I have given a 1 star. I really wanted to save my star for a more deserving venue, but Google wouldn't let me move past it. You know how they do 😀

On the positive side, they have a good location I think and parking is free...

I took my family for my sons birthday (worst mistake of my life). We live in south London and it took us 1hr to drive to the restaurant. First, parking is an issue. When we got there the decor was nice, only one waitress, one cook in the kitchen and a gentleman - who I assume is the owner - VERY RUDE. My partner and I asked about having pitchers, as we are a large family (8), the guy explained they dont do them - fair enough- my partner then highlighted that there was no drinks menu for non alcoholic drinks and how shocked we were to discover that a very slime glass of drink was £2.30 for adults £2.20 for children - I wish I knew how to upload the pictureso you can see it for yourself -, the responses from this guy 😱😱 very unprofessional, but it was our sons birthday and we had travelled a long distance, besides we were there for the food. He had ruined the mood for all of us. Food was DISGUSTING: the lamb ribs were seasoned with chicken curry paste, mac and cheese 🤮 none of us could eat more than a bite, burgers tasted like plastic, grilled chops were burnt. All for £124.50. Worst experience of a restaurant ever. By the way, the cake we bought our son we ended up taking it home because we couldn't get out of that place fast enough. Dont waste your time. If you think my experience is unique, please check other sites. This place ain't worth the gas bill its paying. But.... the Russian waitress, absolutely...

Warning ! After visiting here, nothing else will compare ! It seriously is that good. The staff are genuinely friendly and provide a really impeccable service. The design, look of the place and music is really trendy. A lot of thought has gone in to this by the owners, by thinking about what customers will like. It's really relaxed atmosphere. The mocktails were lovely. I had a mojito and my wife had The Refresher, both were excellent. The food is really good with great presentation. We had the Cheese fried balls for starters and the parlay grill platter for 2. Nice flavour and taste and you can tell the chef use's good quality cuts of meat. It really isn't an easy thing to open a restaurant and maintain a good standard, but these folks have it spot on and best of luck to them. Overall a really nice experience and look forward to going back again. Thank you.

Went back last night to have an anniversary dinner and food was as good as if not better than our first visit. I really wish the owners the best of luck with this venture and would appeal to anyone living nearby to try them out and support a...
